It still eats at me that I missed the Founder's package by a day; due to my pay period, grrr!

Same here, got into the closed beta, like it and was planning on buying it, but 1 day late.

meh you've only missed some very average variants of common mechs, with a 25% cb bonus and some MC. you can almost simulate it by buying a hero mech.

what I have been seeing lately is heaps of hate towards the founders, Im really happy I have the option of turning the tag off in game. Seems we cheat, are unsportsman like, should be in 8v8, shouldnt be using "X" mech etc etc.

As for the package the MC/Premium time is worth the cost but all the mechs are pretty useless. Jenner was the only stand out and that mech has been completely sidelined by the ECM raven. So all my founders mechs just gather dust.

the C1 and 4G are still pretty solid. the Atlas is too i guess, but why not take a DDC etc.

I'm glad I helped the game's funding but can't pretend I use any of my 4 mechs (though I will when I finally level any of those classes ... in 2013 sometime).

comparing them to other variants I guess you can argue any angle.

but really the stand out favourites for the Catapult are the A1 and K2
Hunchback is 4SP or 4P with a lot of people hating on the 4G (I find it fun to pilot but not competitive if you are comparing)
Jenner is the best variant but as stated is no good versus the ECM raven and same deal with the Atlas Vs DDC

So as far as mechs go they are all pretty average in the current game.

Yeah, i agree the jenner and atlas are pretty shafted atm.

I missed out on the Founders program too, but knowing its a F2P game I could show my support for the game when I felt PGI was on the right track instead of blindly handing over the cash from the get go.

Don't know why people hate the Founders package so much... Even if you strip away the Founders Mech, AND the undercosted MC, you are still left with 2 months of premium time that turned out to be more like 6-8 months if you were here when Beta started.

take your founders cat put double heat sinks and two er ppc with beagle prob.

go atlas hunting.
