MWO is fine but who wants a Battletech MMO? I do. Who ever played Cresant Hawk games? Remember how you started as a character and worked your way up to a Mech through training, story exploration etc? Who has played a Modern MMO in a massive online game where you could explore entire planets etc...

I would so love to have a game with huge worlds where you bord a Jumppship from your starting planet to go to another world to be trained where you do missions and make money to to advance. Where your thrown into a war with only a battlesuit and a Flamer in hand to help defend your city!

Eventually you end up owning multiple Battle Mechs and determine which direction you want to go, pirate, Merc, work for a house or perhaps you where born a Trueborn and have an entirely different path to follow. Of course there will be PVP which is the "End Game" where defeating other players and taking their cities and planets is where you ultimately end up.

I could go on and on. I am not asking to turn this into that I am asking for them to make that game too. I think they own the rights and if they don't do it no one else can...

I'd like to see something like this...i made a suggestion that MWO evolve over time into an sim / mmo, or if not PGI, I think it would be done well by microsoft, since they have enough money to buy all rights / the property outright and put everything in that should be there.

It could be the ultimate space MMO. there could be free roaming space flight & combat, hot spots, instances for players and mechs, gambling, games and debauchery on Solaris VII

But, something like this would require a total rework of the series to make it more up to date.

Microsoft already nearly killed this property off once with the MechAssault series...

We don't need anything else... hell MWO's having a hard enough time as it is.

Well then PGI should stop sucking to hard and actually listen to player suggestions. the good Suggestions.... the ones that have alot of community support.... not the ones where 1 person complains about something and they reprogram a whole mechanic to make 1 person happy... (fire and forget missles anyone? Who complained about that honestly!)

Well, become a billionair, aquire the IP, get a development team together and et voila: Here is your Battletech MMO.

There is no proof that something like this even exists.

Dreamed about a mmo in the style of crescent hawk for so many years.

Sadly I don't think it will ever happen. One failed attempt probably seals the deal.

You just negated your own argument.
The forum qq over missiles was epic and pgi goes to pieces in the face of forum qq so fast people get killed by the shrapnel.
THATS what happened to missiles in this game

pretty much. Its what happened to the Star Trek IP and that was a much larger, more well known IP than this is. Hell even the Star Wars IP couldnt float a bad game

I would kill for this MMO. Fighting on the ground then switching to air mode would be awesome.

NO, just no. Robotech has no need to be part of this game. Let the game progress as it has, by the middle of next year we will all be wandering why there were so many daft qq threads.

It won't be perfect, but this game has such potential and PGi are working hard to make it so.

Wasnt there an MMO planned in the Battletech Universe already ?

I faintly remember something like "Battletech AD 3058" by EA or Activision....i remember a screenshot too... a blue catapult.

It was about a million years ago tho.

so many have passion about the game, yet never bother to FIND OUT anything about it before posting on it..bizarre

OP, go read the developers story of the origins of MWO please, you can find it here in the forums

in short, they were going for a more "traditional" style game but it wasnt in the cards, going with the f2p mmo style facilitated them being able to actually "break earth" on the project

in short, stop bii tchin, you're very lucky that every core team memeber of PGI has way more passion than you, or you wouldnt even be here
