either go all SRM6, or all ASRM4. it gets weird when you have different recycles on the same arm, especially for hitting moving lights/mediums.

And you want at least one JJ, if just to help you pull quick turns.

Try this;

Chassis Name: Catapult
Model Name: CPLT-A1
Variant Name: SRM6

Engine Cost: 1,200,000 C-Bills
Heat Sink Cost: 16,000 C-Bills
Armor Cost: 120,192 C-Bills
Weapons Cost: 960,000 C-Bills
Equipment Cost: 0 C-Bills
Ammo Cost: 216,000 C-Bills

Engine: 300 XL Engine
Internal Type: Endo Steel
Armor Type: Std Armor
Heat Sinks: 14 (12) Double Heat Sinks

Tonnage: 65.00
Speed: 74.8 kph
Armor Total: 384
Alpha Strike Damage: 90.00
Alpha Strike Heat: 45.45%
Firepower: 22.50 dps
Heat Efficiency: 42.67%
Effective Range of Loadout: 270m

Head: 18/18
Right Torso: 44/60
Right Rear Torso: 16/60
Center Torso: 64/84
Center Rear Torso: 20/84
Left Torso: 44/60
Left Rear Torso: 16/60
Right Arm: 40/40
Left Arm: 40/40
Right Leg: 41/60
Left Leg: 41/60

Weapons Locations
Right Arm:
(3) SRM6
Left Arm:
(3) SRM6

Heat Sink Locations
Right Torso: 1

Left Torso: 1

Jump Jet Locations
Right Torso: 2
Left Torso: 2

Equipment Locations

Ammo Locations
Right Torso:
(3) SRM Ammo
Left Torso:
(2) SRM Ammo
Center Torso:
(2) SRM Ammo

Ya, I looked at putting all 6's, but the 20 dmg is not worth it too me for one less alpha, and alot worse heat gain. And the all 4's seemed too low of dmg. Just my thoughts. Could be a lot of fun, just can't really get much out of it, unless they do something with ECM.

This build has been around a long time. You don't even notice the different weapon recycle times having a 6 and two 4's. This is my favorite mech to play.

Alright, went ahead with SRM6x6. The heat is not too bad, I can get off 4-5 full alphas back to back, before starting to red line. Does a lot of suprise dmg, Atlas' turn corners and I blow off there arms, if not 1 shot them cause they aren't using CASE. I did make a few changes though, went went with Fiber armor instead of structure and AMs, Ammox6, and almost full armor. think he is only like 10 total points short. Went with the XL300, works like a dream...I am doing about 83 kph.

endo (structure) ALWAYS gives you more weight saving than endo (armour). if you've gone with ferro because you think it gives you more armour, i'm sorry but it doesn't.

On an A1, endo will save you 3 tons, ferro will save you at most 1.42 tons.

Tonage is not a problem at all with this set up, actually you have so much extra tonage, you put stuff on just cause you can. So, a choice between something that gives me more of something I have way to much of, or something that may or may not give me more armor. Ya..
