Weapons were not given a cost in MC, only Cbills, so it may not be possible to buy weapons, equipment, or modules except with C-bills.
The temporary premium account listed in Operation:Inception says "Earn XP & C-Bills faster." 30 days for the veteran package, 60 days for the elite package.
The permanent founder's battlemech has a lifetime C-bill booster per match for that mech.

Unless you have a premium Tank in which case you can make money even not running premimum. My Lowe still makes credits even without premium.
Count me in for the $60.00 package and the premimum mech. Already asked for my fathers day present to be the elite package.

I prefer it to just be a booster that you can purchase at any time, hopefully not a monthly thing. Additionally, I'm not too wild about having to spend c-bills on repairs. I think that once you've bought a mech, it should be yours and that's it. Having a griefer come in and ruin a match of 4v4, 8v8 or 12v12 could be disastrous.
Unless repairs are a very minor amount, I'm worried about how this will play out.
I play league of legends a lot, and although the capability for griefing is high in LoL, there's no real penalty other than you've wasted 20 minutes. I sincerely hope for the best for this game, it has my upmost attention and I'm dying to try it. Crossing my fingers that they get the economy part right.

I really hope they don't pull that. Having to play mech you don't like just to play the mechs you do like would suck. From what they've said in the past, it seems unlikely that is a direction they'd choose, but who knows.

I don't think repair bills will be any large fraction of your winnings, and I highly doubt they will have repairs so expensive that you run a deficit- f you run a deficit then in certain situations you'd eventually go past the point of no return- No functional battlemech and no C-bills to fix it with. Breaking even should be the worst case scenario.

Also, and this may just be my old EVE instincts kicking in, but dont drive what you cant replace!!

I doubt that you could ever go neg cbills, worst is taht you wont be able to repair that mech. SO, its your only mech, your out of cbills.. I bet there is a mech that you can get free.. wont be a good mech, but wont cost much and will allow you to grind your balance back up. I PREFER a game taht doesnt just give you stuff, I wanna earn it.

So for $30.00 dollars, you get a 30 day Player-Mech XP/C-Bill bonus (#'s unknown)
For $60.00 dollars, you get a 60 day Player-Mech XP/C-Bill bonus (#'s unknown)
And being a Founder, either package, your Mech selection retains it XP Bonus for the duration of your account. Note that Mech XP and Player XP are different and allow the purchase of different things. The buff could be .085%. Sounds small but over a Mechs lifetime (when being played) who knows.

The Developers have already stated a few time that Our mech will always be partly repaired to a 'just bearly function' level so I don't think we'll have to worry too much about going broke due to battle damage.

Expect a lot of changes even after launch. Not huge, game changing changes I hope. Just a tweak here and there every so often.

I can only hope as such. I liken it to MechCommander. In that game, repairs and even parts replacement was never a huge deal. As long as it doesn't ever exceed.... let's say 10-15% of the winnings, I think I might be OK with it. Also, if a mech's destroyed, hopefully you won't have to completely re-buy it. Just repair it.

Welcome to Mechwarrior! Of course this hasn't been implemented into MW's online games before really...but for those games online was an after thought that is this entire games focus.
So you can continue to worry about griefers if you like as you apparently have all the information. I don't really see the point of worrying when for all I know team caused damage will be free to repair.

It likely wont be here either, you need to be able to play the game to enjoy it. They've also specifically told us what would happen when a mech was destroyed, no re-buying.
