I'm just wondering how the jets are tuned. Do they go by mech's max possible tons, or by the mech's current effective tons?
I thought it be neat that the less you had bogging you down, realistically the higher you could go, but has anyone found this to be true?

Seeing as how there's probably a billion spiders sailing around. would be neat to see.

Well, seeing as a 65ton catapult with 4jumps gets more distance than a 70ton cataphract with 4jumps, I'd imagine it's both by number of jets and weight of mech.

Yeah but what about a 55 ton catapult? Does it jump higher or further than a 65 decked out catapult with the same amount of jump jets?

Well, seeing as a 55ton Catapult goes the same speed as a 65ton catapult with the same engine, I'm going to make an educated guess that jumpjets are also by max tonnage rather than used tonnage.

Nothing effects them outside the number of them and the max tonnage of the Mech.

There are several different types of Jump Jets, but they are locked in based on your tonnage. And by that I mean if you are in a Mech that has a max tonnage of 50, it will use Mk. 4's. No matter what you have the tonnage of your Mech at, it will only use the ones the Max weight falls within. Each Jump Jet has a specific power rating, it's labeled as boost_z within the variables. The higher the Mk. number, the weaker the Jump Jet. So a Mk. 3 is weaker than a Mk.1.

This is good to know. Thanks very much!
