I just thought I would post the build for my D-DC that I have been having the most success with. Anything that isn't a light seems to reconsider pushing you when you start shooting ropes of UAC5 at them. The SRM4s pack quite a punch and don't generate much heat.

When dealing with lights, I am able to hit with most all my weapons easily, but legging them with SRMs and MLs works great.

Guardian ECM
Double Heat Sinks
STD Engine 300 w/ 2 Heat Sinks
2x UAC5 w/ 8 Tons Ammo
2x Medium Laser
3x SRM4 + Artemis w/ 3 Tons Ammo (Artemis just seems to work for me. Placebo maybe?)
65 Armor on each leg.
15 Double Heat Sinks Total

Modules - Sensor Range, 360 Target Retention, Target Info Gathering, Capture Accelerator

I just realized, you can drop the SRM4s and replace them with 2x SRM6. That also saves 3 tons to play with.

Any suggestions would be appreciated also.

There is a problem with your build. The D-DC only has 3 missle points, it cannot hold x4 SRM4s

Thanks, didn't realize I hit the wrong key.

The SRM4s are good because they have tighter spread and faster recycle time than SRM6s. However, I would leave the artemis off unless you switch to SRM6s.

I find the following setup to be extremely effective if it can get in close:

300 SFE
15 DHS
Guardian ECM
AC/20 (6 tons of ammo)
3 SRM6 with Artemis (5 tons of ammo)
2 medium lasers
592 points of armor

If piloted well, this mech will absolutely annihilate the enemy. Group your AC/20 and SRMs together, your medium lasers together, and also have separate groups with just the AC/20 and just the SRMs. Believe it or not, the AC/20 still inflicts significant damage pretty far outside its optimal range, so don't be shy of using it as you close (it's one of the reasons for the large quantity of ammo).

I used to run this build, but with multiple UAC5s I can reach out and really touch someone. Also when I'm close and can't miss, I find the UACs really push out the DPS.

Risky build, but it's based on solid experience in matches.

2X LL
3X SSRM 2 (3X ammo, two in leg and one in left arm)
2X UAC 5 (3X ammo, two in leg and one in right arm)
STD 330 Engine (3 of 3 DHS)
AMS (1X ammo, in left arm)
Guardian ECM

Now here is where the fun begins. Reduce your leg armor to 50 instead of 82, and use the arms and legs as your principle ammo storage. Statistically, your legs are very unlikely to be attacked in combat, since vast majority will focus on your huge upperbody. Storing the ammo in the arms and legs ensures that in case they go off, it won't take your along with it.

P.S. You need endo and DHS upgrade to pull this off.

I had my D-DC rigged out for LRM support. It did very well. Then I got board with the build and turned it into a sniper that can brawl.

300 engine
endo steel
2 ER large laser
2 AC2
3 SRM4
300 standard engine
case LT/RT
3 tons AC2 ammo
3 tons SRM4 ammo
23 heat sinks
BAP
ECM

I can snipe, give good direct fire support and rip things apart in a brawl.
