Sorry I hade to remake this as no one could reply... my bad.

I have read that puggies complain that they are being stomped by premades in 90% of drops; I have also read that puggies out number premades. Both of these statements cannot be true.

There is a simple solution that will end this debate, and that is to place an icon next to the names of premade players.

I vote yes, what are the thoughts and your reasoning behind your vote.

PS apologies to those who voted in the last poll.

Absolutely NOT during the game.
It would change the gameplay in a way that would not be good at all.

AFTER the game is a different matter. I think they should have implemented that long, long ago.

I was thinking in the waiting for players and the end of match stats (not during the match)... however, just the end would be fine. too.

I'm ok with icons next to the names on the loading and post-game scoring screen.

For those in a group:
I would also like to see a different color marker over friendly mechs that are in the same group (maybe allow custom color selection, default might be a yellow marker for example).

Post game yes - in game no. At least players can see how much prevalent premades are or are not and in some ways it may be good advertising/convincing to puggers to band up and fight fire with fire (pun intended).

Cheers!

Yes, with this proviso. Because I think it may also encourage new players to explore the option of joining voip pickup groups if it is obvious from day one that they exist.

It might also convince the lone wolf players to stick close to the group on their team rather than running off 1 at a time to die.

Another thought:
It would show how often 2 groups of 4 end up on the same side, either by chance or by sync-dropping.

I wonder who all the anonymous 'no' voters are... possibly the sad 8 man sync droppers, who dont wish to be revealed; as this is the only reason I can think of for voting no.

It could also be some lone-wolf players concerned they may be picked as a primary "easy kill" target if they don't have an icon. I suspect sync-droppers probably would vote no as well, if they even bothered to vote.

This would only reveal sync droppers to other 4 man groups who were on the same TS server. I think groups are becoming more common and I often see two on the same side, sometimes they are only 2-3 man, but still, this would not prove or even indicate sync dropping, just bad luck.

I was only talking about no voters who are not leaving comments... The main reason for the icon system is to show puggies how often in real terms they are being stomped by premades vs being stomped by other puggies. That it may show 8 premade players does not indicate a sync drop... it could be 2 random premades or 2,2,4 or even 2,3,3 etc; that being said I would be surprised if there were very many drops that were actually 8 premades of any variety.

Possibly the case Blue, but I don't think there are all that many syncdroppers about, I never joined a channel on EU Comstar for an 8 man and been told they are syncdropping 2 4's. Can't speak for the other servers though.

+Roll this change out with a change that makes your group members green on your HUD instead of blue.

I suspect most doing sync-drops aren't doing them on public TS servers...

Sounds like an interesting idea. It is always good to know, how your party is assembled.
So I would like to see such icons on the loading screen already, but only for friendlies.

What worries me is, if you put this in during the match rather than the end, given the defeatist nature of some on these forums, it may cause some people to look at the table and quit to get a match with more favourable odds, ruining things for their team.

I vote yes both during game and post game similar to WoT, but with a limit of only 2 man premade possible for pug drops.
