Mech Variant Designation And Their Meanings?

Okay, so I was looking at the listing of 'mechs and their variants, and I was wondering if anyone knew what all of them mean? I know of many of them, and I know what most of the ones I know mean, but perhaps you all could help me fill in the gaps? :)

R = ???
N = ???
L = Liao(Capellan Variant)
M = Marik (FWL Variant)
S = Steiner (Lyran Commonwealth Variant)
D = Davion (Fed Suns variant)
K = Kurita (DCMS Variant)
DC = Dual Cockpit
T = Taurian Concordat
H = Marian Hegemony
C = (Only as a last letter) c3 equipped
RS = ?Minor Steiner tweak to whatever R is?

If I missed any, please let me know, and if you have corrections, also please let me know.

The house ones are obvious, but there is no consistent naming convention. In many cases early on, it was just to make the designation look like the mech name.

Ex:
MAD-3R Marauder
GRF-1N Griffin

Some later TROs and source material started standardizing them, but not completely. CS for ComStar, W for Wolf's Dragoons, H for Marian Hegemony, among others. But frankly, a lot of them still have no meaning at all.

I know stuff with c3 usually added a c to the designator, and dc is "dual cockpit" which means command console.

"Regular."
Star League designation.
