Would you really buy it, even if it ran at the canon 32 kph speed?

From what I remember in MW4,the urban mech was pretty bad.Why do people want this in game?

If you mean the JJ than yes,but I think it was very slow.

Slow + Light Weight = Bad.

You're talking about an extremely durable light mech, with a ballistic crit slot that can fire a weapon that does 20 dam for the heat of 1 large las.

I would be so tempted to ******* buy it and I don't pilot anything lighter than a heavy.

the urbanmech is a FAIL mech and whoever buys them deserves an alpha strike from a stalker to the cockpit.

It is an excellent candidate for a pseudo Hollander too.

It is a small light mech that is designed as a ballistic carrier.
With clan tech it can carry an ultra ac/20 with no additional tonnage needed, and if you put even Is endo steel on it you can get another ton and a half with minimal effect on it's slot usage. Or you can switch out it's ac/10 for a clan uac/10 or lbx ac/10 gaining 2 tons for ammo or other stuff.

Or in mwo you can put on an uac/5 and a few tons more ammo in it and use it as a uac carrier that is lightweight.

It is a small in every dimension mech due to it's short legs keep it close to the ground, in Mwo terms it would be smaller than a commando, with the capacity to carry a much larger gun and stay out of sight from long range.

BTW ...the ULLER with a CLBX20 in its arm slot beat the Urban Mech all over the place in MW4 ,that is if you want something like that

There aren't many mechs that can put an AC 20 in their arm.

Give that to a light mech....yar!!

I don't even remember the urban mech in mw4.

I would buy it and put my Sir Urbie Gentlemech in the cockpit, then I would stomp around looking like a Sir.

Seriously though, there is a certain freedom in selecting a well known terrible mech that people don't take seriously. If you get beat....you're in an Urban Mech, duh! but if you beat someone....if you get a kill, in an Urban mech that's like winning in itself. It's laughing in the face of superiority. You can't beat that.

It's the sort of plucky hopelessness that people can only admire, it's like going to a car race in a golf cart and coming 2nd to last...everybody expected you to be last....you just humiliated someone, doesn't matter how or why. They are in a better mech than you and you are lording it up over them.

In WAR I would out level a battleground in world PvP and that would make me turn into a chicken, which meant i had 1 hitpoint and 1 damage.....and you know what? despite the amount of times I got one shotted by enemies....it was all worth it for the times when the chicken with 1 hitpoint just killed that great big armored warrior....the peck of death!

urban mechs exsit simply for the novelty factor. i'd love to see so many suffering head shots but then a good pilot tunes one to be bad **** and then drops other players like sacks of ****. you thought the killed by machinegun cryers were something. wait till the death by urbie cryers come out ;)
