Again, I'm just... I dunno, Perplexed.I hit a Cat in the cockpit with an AC20, it shows the armor scoured away and the head yellow on the damage schematic. I hit it again with 2 ER Large lasers and it shows the damage on the head go from no armor and yellow on the head to red. So I hit it again in the cockpit with my AC20. On the damage schematic, the head shows a hit. My line of sight (I was 40 meters away) shows a hit on the ferroglass. But he doesn't die.
Don't bore me with the "you missed" and "you suck" replies. They are simply ignorant.
I have to wonder if some players, who are not so verbose as I, are experiencing the same sort of issues without discussing them.
If this is a lag or code issue it needs to be addressed forthwith.
Okay So If It Isn't Cheating, What Is It?

It's the hit boxes, been an issue for a long time.
Hopefully it will be resolved soonish, but i have taken my sweet time aiming up on head locations and opening up and hitting mostly torso.

What you see and what actually happens can sometimes be two completely different things because of their less than ideal netcode. Sometimes it will look like you're hitting something but you actually are not. The cockpit hitboxes are also, almost universally, way smaller than they appear visually because, given the size of the cockpits on almost every mech, matches would probably be over after ten seconds of brawling.

The netcode in this game is garbage. It's been a known issue for a long time. PGI is aware of the issue yet has not made much progress in resolving it.

AC 20 can 2 hit kill from headshots(20x2 > 18 armor), but due to the hit detection the way it is, that's almost impossible to do, even if the target is just standing there AFK. It will almost always credit to RT/CT/LT instead.

I'll be moving this to Player Support, since it's worded as a Q&A thread.
Sometimes it's possible for a pilot to swing their mouse over to the side and rotate their cockpit away from your line of fire just as you're firing, but your client doesn't get word of your opponent's snap-reflex action until after your client thinks it scored a hit on the cockpit...
...but that's just one scenario. I don't have the details.
If you'd like to report suspicious or illicit behavior, then send an email to support@mwomercs.com with all sorts of data like the names of players and Mechs involved, the time/date of the match, the map, a description of the activity and text chats, and if possible a Screenshot of the activity in question.
