On the one hand, I think we will see a lot of spiders at first. On the other hand, I suspect they will release that lag-shield improvement that was removed from the patch last week. (basing it off your ping)

If people are hitting lights much better than before, it may put a damper on rolling the Spider. Players might get the impression that it's too squishy simply because they can hit fast mechs better.

I really want one because it seems like a cool mech, but whether or not I get one is based on what else they put in the patch. If JJ functionality or netcode (increased speed cap) hasn't been improved, I don't see myself getting one because whatever maneuverability it has wont keep it from being destroyed.

I will warm up the reactor of my Centurion 9A then. I call him "Fly Flap", because he uses a combination of an uac5, two medium lasers and three streaks.

Lately it lacked the effectiveness of past times, since ECM is omnipotent, but for those eight-legged abominations I'll give it another swing.

I think I'll fire up mechwarrior for the first time in weeks and organize a 4man of streak-mandos or RVN-3L's, give all the spiders a nice warm welcome.

Just from looking at their speed stat it's going to be a dark day to be a Stalker pilot. Unless I start investing now in Streaks and Pulse lasers. Which I won't, because while I have a modicum of good sense I have an inability to apply it.

Well, the good news is with all the people raging when the Spider will be proven utterly worthless by ECM mandos and ravens, perhaps PGI will admit they completely fuckd up with ECM then. And in turn the ECM will go back to doing what its actually supposed to be doing and people will remember again that LRM and SSRMs ARE STILL IMBALANCED FFS!
