ok 1st why all the talk about the Clan? i'm a GhostBear 100% but its 3049 so Clans.are a No Show at this time. so my question is Where is the Federated Commonwealth?? Where are the other 3050 mechs? there are over 104+/- mechs and only 12 in games. How with all this players and mechs where are the Plants to fight over? Where are the House Lords to Rule them?
well this is my .02 cents
Major T. Darkligter
XO Wraith Warrior ComArm Regt
(in 3051 on KemptenFRR this unit was wiped out by the 8th Bear Cuirassiers)

That was nigh unreadable.

That said, we have not seen all the mechs yet.

People believe the devs picked this date for a reason, seeing as the clan invasion is mere months after the game is released, you can understand why people are getting excited about clans.

All for the Empire. That's why.

It's not that I don't like the Commonwealth, it's just that I don't want to be a part OF the Commonwealth. They don't seem to be a terrible lot, I just like Kurita better.

Was that a question or a statement?

12 Revealed does not mean 12 total. However, I would not expect a full 104 mechs. That's a lot of mechs to make, model, and balance.

my bad! i could have worded it better. 16hrs work days will do that to you. the question is have they said anything about a Succession War mass battles? (like clan war in WoT) there is a battletech game called Invasion 3042. lots of planets. each planet as 8 sectors with 5 zones each.

In this game you are being asked to pick an allegiance to one of the 5 Greater Houses of the Inner Sphere. Or be a Mercenary.

The Federated Commonwealth is a Successor State. The FC is the combine military strength of 2 other Successor States that came together right before the 4th Succession War, the Lyran Commonwealth and the Federated Suns signed the FedCom Accord. They combned their militarize, to a certain degree. In early 3041 the Armed Forces of the Federated Commonwealth was officially established. The two realms do not combine economically until 3055 (then ends in 3057).

Each Successor State is run by a House. Each House is run by a House Lord.

We will be involved in battles for minor planet. Maybe even be counted as a small battle that happened major world. None of our Battles will change history.

Look at your Battle Tech time line. The clan invasion begins in 3049, and breaks into the inner sphere in 3050. Comstar is already in contact with the clans betraying the Inner Sphere. By launch if they stick to the canon timeline, there will be a short time before the Comstar stations in the periphery states loose contact with the inner sphere, and that knowledge is suppressed by Comstar. Right now in game, the 4th succession war should still be winding down, with Hanse Davion still alive and unifying the Federated Commonwealth.... Weird that they do not have fedcom logos, but do have Steiner and Davion logos. The detente started by Hanse Davion and Jammie Wolf on outreach should not happen until Jan/Feb time frame. So we are still in the 4th succession war, and its a Steiner-Davion powerhouse versus house Liao Marik and Kurita. There should be no Fed/Com fighting at this phase of the game. There is also a Marik Liao treaty at this time, by my read.

I wonder if they will fast forward the timeline for content patches. If not we will be playing the Clan invasion for a long time.

Also I will add, there would be some fighting over resources on the periphery with the small states and pirates.

They can milk that puppy for almost two years up to tukaayyid in March 3050- January 3052, or March 2013 - January 2015 if they stick to the timeline as they have said.

Then invasion is not common prior to operation birddog / bulldog, which happen in march 3059 or March 2021 if the game is still going. There is plenty of material and new mechs to keep the dev's busy and us buying if they keep this ball rolling.

I think you will see more than 12 mechs. They will be releasing them over time. This isn't a company working on a 100m budget. As far as I know they plan to have battles that actually have an effect, ie factions will lose and gain planets. Give it time man, it just barely went into closed Beta. You are judging way way too early.

The whole of the Inner Sphere erupted into chaos when the Clan Invasion smashed through the Oberon Confederation and, by 3050, hit the worlds of the Free Rasalhague Republic, Federated Commonwealth, and Draconis Combine. Wolf recalled all Dragoons to Outreach. It was noted that Thomas Marik was angered by the sudden, unannounced withdrawal of Epsilon Regiment and Zeta Battalion from Andurien at the time.
In 3051, during a lull in the Invasion, Jaime Wolf called a conference on Outreach. All the heads of the various Inner Sphere houses and several mercenary leaders were invited. It was at the start of this conference that Jaime Wolf revealed the true origin of the Dragoons: They were originally a part of Clan Wolf and a scout force for the Clans, which were, in turn, revealed to be the descendants of the Star League Defense Force. Until then, the Dragoons had not met the Clan invaders on the battlefield, having been held in reserve by their employer, House Davion, who made good use of their expertise to gather intelligence on the Clans and their invasion.

I mean, the game looks awesome.. and I'm sure the beta will allow us to see a few new designs and a few new Mechs getting parceled in. Me? I wouldn't mind putting some Clan salvage on the Phract.
