I would really like to have a checkmark/button in the options just to turn this off.

I know that it can be done per user.cfg and while i prefer the look without it thats not the major issue: Its simply much easier to spot/shoot enemy mechs in the distance because they get blurred out way to early by DOF. Please even the playing field for people that do not want to work with custom configs.

While evening out the visibility under different particle/shader/etc. settings is no easy task the DOF-toggle shouldnt be to complicated to implement...at least i hope it isnt ;)

Ug... this is toggle-able? That's unfair. Needs to be on or off for everyone.

I prefer off, if being off makes sniping easer.

[runs to .cfg file]

I run a custom user.cfg just because of this command ;) I would love DOF if it was not softening mech shilouettes in perfect combat range.

Metthew Craig posted somewhere that its a priority to have stuff display very much alike through all gfx presets and that would be a good start imho.
