Did anyone else here play battledrome during the DOS days?

I never played any mechwarrior games before 4, because I was playing metaltech games (battledrome, the earthsiege series).

When I first played mw I was confused by the lack of shielding, but I got over it.

Honestly i have never heard of battledrome. DOn't flame it probably a combo of my age as wel as not having a computer till i was 17. But either way i started in the Battletech genre through the tabletop, Then migrated to the MW2 series then MC. and the like. anything Battletech related i was hooked. Except that Abomination mech assualt. i could'nt stomach that..... well you know. All i can say is i loved the MW4 community and pray this will fill a void other games have not been able to replicate community wise.

Excellent game. Repetitive yes, but well done. :-) Wish I had it still. Found the box when cleaning out the garage, but no disk.

It doesn't really work well on new hardware. I tried. I got no sound. Maybe if I was better at configuring dosbox...

I remember Earthsiege but not battledrome. I quite enjoyed Earthsiege for what it was and at the time it looked nice graphically but by todays standard its like a childs toy at a concept car motor show.
