Yup... I wants it. Firstly, Awesome are nowhere near as "horrible" as people want to think. Especially FAST Awesomes. 68.8 kph makes it the fastest one yet. Love the paint job too, btw. (Yes it's ugly, but good ugly, IMO..... at least he part of it I can see on the home page)
What's more is the varied harpoints look likely to allow for some nice load outs.

Add to that is that "Pretty Baby" is another canon hero mech, taken from the 3025 TRO, much like the Death's Knell, which makes me happy as a fluff guy (and for those who don't care about canon.. it's all good, I don't care about your onion, either! :) ).

So, anyone else gonna pony up for the pretty baby?

And with the head hit boxes seeming to shrink every patch, I feel less and less worry about their "easy" kill factor. Plus, current net code means I ain't worried about those pesky lights anymore!

I've been debating getting a hero mech for a while. Was gonna get the Ilya but now I'm gonna wait and see what this one is like first.

I'll admit I'm the first to vote HELLZZZZZZ NOOOOO!!!!!!
I wouldn't be caught dead running around in a mech called Pretty Baby!

WTF are the devs smoking lately? Pretty Baby? Seriously? Now if its a cannon name then ok but something tells me there is no cannon hero mech called Pretty Baby.

Not to mention they need to make the game "WORK" Before they keep adding this extra **** to the game.

A good 1/3 people after the newest patch have black screens to Mech lab bug Weapon firing is still off on Ballistics etc. This game should have never gone open beta yet. Content should be put on the back burner until the game works correctly and more importantly STABLE!!!

The warping has improved 10 fold. It's everything else that is still screwed.

Seeing as how all the Heroes are absurdly overpriced, no I have no intention of supporting the feature. Based on the other prices this thing is likely to cost nearly as much as a full priced game.

this is because i'm OCD, but i dont want to buy this mech because i already bought all the awesomes, and i like them to be next to each other in the mechbay, and to buy this i'd have to put it in the middle of nowhere, or sell and rebuy like 10 mechs.

Problems with the Awesome in general:
-Variants are too similar, and the 9M outclasses basically all of them.
-SOOOO easy to target specific sections (torsos, arms, legs)
-If I want tons of missiles and lasers I'll get a Stalker. The only thing the Awesome does better than the Stalker is turn (including moving arms), but since the Awesome is so easy to strip it makes a terrible brawler.

So I'm not gong to get a Hero mech for a chassis that is so limited. I finally got an Ilya Muromets because Cataphracts actually have very diversified hardpoints. The only other decent Hero mech is the Dragon with the laser in the right arm.

Holy smack. Simmer down, drama queen.

On topic: I'm excited to see how it performs and what hardpoints they give it. That said, I certainly wont be a first day buyer.

I wish I hadn't bought that AWS-8V last week - I'd have rather picked this up.

You seem to have no clue that the Programming team that works on Stabilization is totally separate from the team the implements new Mechs.

In any case, do you realize that some of the meanest, fiercest Japanese Sumo Wrestlers took on names like Flower, and Rosebud?

It was a psychological tactic used to confuse the enemy, and encourage the enemy to underestimate the strength and fighting ability of his opponent.

Seriously debating picking this up as my first hero mech. Though, an Ilya M. is very tempting as well...

It's not in Open Beta anymore. It's a release. If you are SELLING content for cash-only, and adding more of it more regularly than you are fixing your game, you are out of beta. Devs are just using beta as an excuse for the game not being up to par.

Depends on how expensive, what it has, etc.

I would love a ballistic Awesome, but, it not, I will wait...

I would be more interested in buying an Awesome if they were not so easy to kill. A Stalker with an XL engine lives longer than the Awesome, in its current implementation.

...which is pretty sad, really. The Awesome is a classic, and I *want* to like it. I love the art design on it in MWO, too. I mastered the Awesome before I decided I was tired of trying to make it work well.

MechWarrior Danielle Peterson
A member of Delmar's assault lance, Tagaki's Battalion of House Davion's Chisholm's Raiders, Danielle does not look the part of a MechWarrior. Blond and beautiful, she has what many of her comrades call "the knack". Though joking and friendly outside of her 'Mech, when Danielle buttons up in her Awesome, she seems to become one with the machine, able to react as if it were her own skin. This has saved her on more than one occasion when surrounded by enemy 'Mechs. In one instance, she literally skipped aside with her Awesome, the Pretty Baby, to avoid an incoming missile strike aimed at her. Danielle is famous throughout the Successor States for her skill in piloting the usually unmaneuverable Awesome.

kinda reminds me of Pirate's Mech... or a Solaris Gladiator, The weapon load looks formidable, but I don't remember a Hero with this Mech.

;) holy Shat! They went way back for Pretty Baby! That is Old school 3025TRO IIRC! :)
