How would you like this to be done?

  2. MC patterns are cleaner than cbill patterns, like they were originally (0 votes [0.00%])

  3. All mechs start clean, and are made dirty over time with the ability to clean them for cbills (0 votes [0.00%])

This suggestion comes from a slight punch in the stomach that came alongside the second camo update. I probably should have made this thread back in December when it was a little more relevant, but I hadn't thought too seeing as I hardly browse these forums. It's a good thing I still had these screenshots.

I spent MC on the dazzle camo pattern, because the colours showed better than on the default pattern.

On the left is the default camo pattern, on the right is dazzle. Both are using white in all the colour slots. It made sense to spend MC on it because my intention was to make a giant shiny golden atlas, so I chose dazzle and 3 identical shades of urine. I was pleased enough with the result (although an actual gold colour with proper specular settings would be cool too).

In the following patch, I logged on to find my Atlas encrusted with filth, and looking just as dirty as the free, default camo. Both of these mechs are using the dazzle pattern, before and after the patch, respectively.

As you can see, it no longer dazzles, I'm annoyed by this only slightly more than the fact that there's still no single colour scheme. All the other camo skins are now just as unremarkable as the free skins, so I might aswell have never payed MC for it in the first place.

This is why I ask for some variety of adjustable weathering, a toggle or a slider somewhere in the Camo UI that controls the opacity of the "encrusted filth" layer. If I payed real money for a pattern, I want it to actually look better than the free patterns.

A monocolour scheme would also be really handy. I've seen a number of other single colour mechs and I'm sure they didn't appreciate paying for the same colour 3 times.

Also, thankyou for the camo refund. I wanted one because of this.

I'd also like to see a 'weathering' slider and possibly one for "damage" like scorch marks as well.

An idea just occured to me while writing this. Over time your mechs could accumulate grit, and somewhere in the mechbay is an option to clean mechs for a modicum of c-bills.

Reminds me of Gran Tourismo. Kind of a neat idea.
