That's not an abstraction, that's a humongous leap of logic.
Errrm... Persistent world means that the game state develops over time but doesn't change without player interaction. It has nothing to do with "a planet". Once a map exists which tracks ownership of planets, we have a persistent world (well, universe). Folks really need to take a closer look at WoT. I don't care whether you like it or not, that's not the point. The point is that everything PGI has developed (including their microtransaction market) and everything that they have said about CW and everything else that is coming is consistent with the WoT model.
