This is a move in the right direction for new players. I think there are probably better choices for starter mechs, as each of these isn't the best or a hero, but still good none the less.

Looks kinda like the cousins of the founder packs. The included statue seems alright.

Having the start packs cost more than the basic $15 pack (which is 3000 MC) is crazy.

If you reduced by slight more than 50% for the first two, you'd have a better deal. It seems over the top expensive and insulting.

This should have been something implemented long ago... I'm glad you're starting to get things rolling, this will be of great help to newer players.

While bundles are great to see, this is sort of worded like this is something you probably need to begin playing MWO. Considering this includes a lot of aesthetic fluff and minimally improved pre-configured mechs, I think it's slightly deceptive.

It would make more sense to have a mini-Founder pack, purchasable for actual money that includes a small amount of MC to get started along with some of the other things here.

Good idea the Bundles.... BUT: Why the Bundle Content doesnt show up when you go with Mouse over it?...So you have to go first here in Forums to look what you get....So hard to make it at beginning right instead of fixin it later?
edit: the first who askk the same: http://mwomercs.com/...76#entry3161876

I think it would be better overall if these were priced at a dollar value instead of an MC value, but it is a step in the right direction. I think a few colours would be a much more valuable gift to give new players than three cockpit items. An item and a couple of colours would be nice.

did some basic math to compute the actual value of the packages not counting cosmetic items (which are a nice bonus but not something tangible that a new player needs)
  • Light package value: 4250 savings: 1000
  • Medium package value: 4600 savings: 1000
  • Heavy package value: 5690 savings: 1540
  • Assault package value: 7585 savings: 2385
Edit: Light package was miscalculated. I math gud!

That is really not good value.

Perhaps just doubling Premium Time would probably add better value.

Complimentary Hula Girl with each purchase... just to prove "The Hula Girl is not a lie!"

Now, can we get the Grid Iron Cheerleader separate of the 'Mech, please?

I like these a lot.

Just keep working on meta-killing so new players truly feel they've gotten value for their money.

You might also consider complementary playstyle bundles with to-die-for discounts for newer accounts.

Good idea, terrible execution: PGI Methodology 101.

You don't stuff a box with fluff stuff and call it a starter kit, period. Remove the statue, hula girl and dice replace with two normal mech variants of the same chassy as the champion, done.

weak, give them a full chassis and variant pack, teach them how much better having a mastered mech is!
