Battlemaster is real good for wubbing, I've found. I have two builds that make heavy use of them, my Pheonix one is all MPLs in the shoulders and a LPL on the arm (along with a 400XL). I have another with 4 LPLs in the shoulders annnnnnd...I think I break the trend with a regular LL in the arm.

Pulse lasers are referred to as 'wub' in this game... named such for the distinct sound they make when you fire them in game.

"Wub" is a onomatopoeia phrase describing the common drops associated with Dubstep music. Pulse lasers seems to feature a very similiar sound when fired in this game, so the implied connection to dubstep has been extended to amusing reaches. Which leads to pulse lasers being similarly coined.

At some point somebody noticed the similarity of the pulse lasers' sound effect and the idea of "party lasers" and electronic dancing robots became something of a meme. hence the Wub-master (Battlemaster) and Partyback (hunchback)
