Edit to add: I'm putting this in to make myself more clear. My concern here is for the SKINS, not the MECHS. I understand that we won't be getting a new King Crab with each faction content selection, that would be ridiculous. I always figured that the 'mech was there to model the skin, but that we would be getting the skin that was shown on the 'mech. Exactly the same as the 'display model' for the Wave 2 skins.
However, if you look at the pic below, it says that the skins are not part of the faction content.

I was going through the sales pages, and ended up on the Faction Content selection page.
There, I noticed that the skins that had been displayed on the King Crab are now no longer part of the faction content we would be receiving for the Resistance pack. When did this change? I was really looking forward to those skins, so I'm kinda upset.
The Resistance page now says "*Mech is for display purposes only", but that wasn't there when I put money down for the top level package. It doesn't seem right that this has changed.

It never WAS part of the package - and PGI had a statement on that when they put it up.

They simply put the statement on the page as well now.

Where did they put this statement up? I seem to recall the statement on the page being "Faction content is still being revised", which isn't the same as 'mech for display purposes only'.

They did the same with the Maddog use it to show off the skins but then it wasnt part of the pack. Im glad they changed it but still it sucks when they show off a cool skin on a mech, then dont let you put it on that mech. At least they added the notice this time.

On the Wave 3 page, they clearly state from the beginning that it's there just to show off the skin. For the Resistance page, it didn't say that at first. I usually roll my eyes when people start talking about PGI shenanigans to drive up sales, but damn if it doesn't feel like they left off the 'you don't get this paintjob' warning until after a lot of sales had already been made.

Maddog was considered part of wave 2 if you got it by injection. owning wave 1 and 2. which is why it got the pattern if you got it that way.

King Crab was not considered an injection for the resistance package so, thus why it will not be getting the patterns.

Ok I was wrong about wave 2, but not about the resistance one , I am gonna wait till the warhorns are on soundcloud before making my decision.

That's what the notice is for, but nobody seems to want to share that answer with us for those of us who are curious but don't own the package and therefore cannot access the page.

I've got the Kurita one because Kurita, and the Liao one because it looks like the best paint scheme so far. Holding out on the remaining four.

When can I use them, again?

Looks like you didn't. Note: King Crab skin not included as part of the faction content.

Edit: nwm. Skin and scheme are different words, should read more carefully.

Yea thats the point when they first showed the stuff it didnt have that mech for display only notice either. That didnt happen until people complained about the maddog by then I had already bought the wrath pack. Hopefully next time it will be clearly stated from the beginning .

Probably because the model was done.

Same thing happened with the Mad Dog. It's for display purposes only because only the Mad Dog's model was done. Only the KGC's model was done when this went up too

I select nothing till I get some confirmation on the following.

1. Colors are universally unlocked?
2. I hear the warhorn samples.
3. Camos are confirmed unlocked on all resistance mech chassis, not just one chassis per.

I do believe the KGC sample should be included for the loyalty mechs or the KGC at the very least. That and I dont like the Norns on any of them the same way I would never have the firebrand camo.

Hope you consider/reconsider this point.

Color has always been a universal unlock, why would that change?

The colors from the Clan Faction bonuses are universal.
(Patterns are not - but the colors for the patterns are)
