Hello MechWarriors!
We've got another set of Champion Mech's we'd like your help making builds for!
Keep in mind these will mostly be used by new playersl!

Please submit your build for the Nova Champion!

Post your build using Smurfy Mechlab, with whichever variant you'd like.
http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab
Remember to click the Like button at the bottom of other posted builds for your favorites!
The top 3 voted builds will be taken into a separate discussion thread which our designer will then later review your discussions and debates on it to make the final call as to which is the best of the 3 to implement.

Thank you very much again for your contribution!

1 ppc
6 spls
4 mg

http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=267&l=1eaa6130a8503d51d77743128afb455cabc9ab9b

It snipes, it brawls, and as long as you keep it to one mode of fighting, you won't get into heat trouble.

edit: forgot to check the boxes for the arm actuator and mechbro fist.

Nova Prime- 12ERSL w/ hand and lower arm actuators, active probe in head, tc mk1 center torso, the rest is heat sinks. Will add smurfy build when I get home.

This is a build that I have done 800-1500 damage in on a semi regular basis.

Edited to add the Smufy link:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...0f1048d68c8f804

Also this is the build I used to hit 3rd place in the Nova queue for the medium mech event.

Pretty much the only way to play the Nova with the 12 ELSLs

NVA-S

The legs are a bit lighter on armor than I'd like, but it packs six cMPLs, one of the best weapons available, while taking advantage of the recent tiny buff to MGs to put a quartet on the thing for close-in backup when you're running hot. They sound great and are fun to use, even if they're not the optimal choice.

12ERSL+TC1

It's sort of a 19th century battlefield surgeon. That is to say, it amputates a lot of legs.

12 Small Lasers, 4 Machine Guns, Targeting Computer 1

- Can fire each arm at once
- Teaches trigger discipline
- Teaches how to stagger fire to avoid Ghost Heat
- Machine Guns allow for damage while cooling (or being hit by a Flamer)
- Sufficient cooling
- Not too much back armour, but more than usual, to help new players

I made this strictly with new players in mind. 2 erll so they can practice shooting at stuff as soon as they see it. And an ac5 to teach them about projectile mechanics. Doesn't require any technique to use or a special mouse

NVA-PRIME 6 ERML 3 Flamer

Something for new players, who will have no fear of Ghost Heat
All 9 weapons can be fired at once.
Personally, I'd like all 6 lasers on one arm...but let's be gentle on the potential Potato, and not make him worthless because of a mistake. Half and half

ERMLs for mid range, Flamers for up close (3 is all you need to ruin someone's day)
21 DHS keeps it cool...enough. Prime STs and Prime arms for less heat, along with the 8/8 bonus

Eh...not exactly optimal, but short range and new player doesn't exactly mesh well.

This probably the most brutal NVA builds I have. 6ERSML/6SMPL. One of the few mechs capable of melting a 100 toners CT within 3 salvos.

i think a Support Brawler Nova(3AMS, 1ERLL, 10ERSL) would be Good as a Champion
Players Can Poke with the ERLL, AMS(3.5Ammo) for Support, and 10ERSLs for Brawling,
(Note- im primarily building this with [Trial used by New Players] in mind as we all should)
