Maybe it's just a perspective illusion... but the mech looks a lot taller than I was expecting... I dunno, I always think of the Supernova as one of those short, wide mechs, like a Cauldron Born, or a King Crab. It's still a good lookin' mech, and I can't wait to get a hold of it, but whine, whine, complain complain XD

What IS more of a disappointment is the (S) camo... To be fair, I think the concept art may have set an unfeasibly high bar, it was glorious... but the actual in-game camo doesn't have the nebulae on the forearms, and it suffers for it. I understand, the modular weapons system would really futs with such fine detail as we get in the concept, but it's still disappointing even so. It's also not quite as richly colored... I'm sorry I'm picking on it, I could never do anything even close to that nice...

Assault Que: over 50%
Cool Shot use increase by 75%

and vote Terra Therma.

Any chance of getting higher resolution versions of those clan faction screenshots? I would absolutely love to use them as my wallpapers, but they look so stretched out on my 1440p monitor. Please PGI I need these wallpapers! Posted Image

no thats not an illusion thats because the uppe tights are going upwards a lot (too much).

somehtign cool about the supernova was the stance which nearly had no upper tights

they were super short and nearly horizontally aligned in idle stance.

While the model we have is doing that too a bit, the walking animation seems to be the issue, when the Supernova walks, it should walk more like a chicken, unfortunately too many of our chicken walker mechs go into a reverted human like leg stance than actually walking like chicken.

thats why our fatty clanners with chickenmechs do that strange wobbling up and down because they have a run animation at a too low movement speed. Thats also why it seems to look so tall, because at the moment of walking the animation bumps it up into reverse human style. I really wish PGI would fix this on serveral of the chciken walking mechs.

But that special cmao really looks weird and messy, kinda ugly somehow, while on the other side the boiler looks really great. Too bad those camos aren't special unlocks for people who bought it and can use them freely on other variants. I would prefer to use the boiler camo on the S or 1 variant.

Yeah this is often a huge issue when I look at the concept art, and notice the torso twisting may be an issue. In building some 3d printed minis, you still sometimes run into issues where the legs clip the arms at certain angles. IS Marauder rubs a lot.

Queue.... hardly a prediction.... it always goes heavily to the new mech weight class the first week.
Cool shots.... no more than they did for Mad2Cs which all had a LOT of energy hardpoints also. Smart people will achieve the holy trinity without needing cool shots and the dumb ones won't.

No offence to PGI animators, but WTF? Even ancient MW4 did mech animations so much better than MWO. MW4 is 15 years old and compared to MWO it looks almost a masterpiece when we speak about mech movement. MWO is up since 2013, and for the past 4 years people can't figure out how to make leg joint side movements? What's wrong with that? You should be ashamed with the quality of you job.

As far as walking animations go, the best examples seem to be those where the hips stay relatively level, and the legs do all the work. The up/down torso motion should be limited to that iconic cockpit bobbing, and the feet should really pound into the ground.
