Playing polar highlands. I can't view inside other friendly cockpits. In over two years of playing this game I have never experienced that. Very odd.

Yeah I've had that happen before, where it won't drop you into spectator mode, but rarely, maybe once in the last 7 months?

I used to get that bug once every few weeks for a period of a handful of months... Don't think I've encountered it in over a year. That you should find it at this point is very odd.
If it happens again, I'd suggest contacting support to file a report. In the meantime, double check that your drivers are up to date. It's the only thing I can think of. (TBH, checking for outdated drivers is just a shot in the dark, but whenever your machine does something weirdly unexpected while running a game, and there's no obvious explanation, checking the drivers is usually trouble shooting step one, y'know?)
