We are aware that people are unable to log in and are investigating the cause.

Thank you for your patience while we work to get the game back up.

WORKAROUND _ DON'T FORGET TO SET YOUR SYSTEM TIME BACK :)

We have determined the cause and we are working on a fix. In the meantime if you want to log in you can change your WIndows System time to June 16th will allow you to log in.

If you turn back the date it is possible to log onto the system.

Can you link this thread? Turn back the date.. how so?

EDIT : Win 10 Users, set your date to June 16th and turn off Windows time/date autoupdate.

It does work, but there are hardly any players online. Hopefully by Peak Hours there's an official fix.

Server is dropping packets like crazy and mechs are warping around... Good ol Rubberband Lag, Wild As the Taliban...

VERIFIED - if you change your local computer date back to 6-17-2022, you are able to log in and play without the Error 13.

as some have surmised, the issue is most likely a certificate that expired on 6-18-2022. The local game client has a fail-over of Error 13 when it cannot properly connect to the server for login.

if you change the date - you can log in and play. on my third game now.

Pushing quite a few hours since we haven't been able to connect. Is the web guy on call and confused? Is Daeron off on his boat? How can a gaming company let their servers be down for this long? Hopefully eg7 looks into this.

Servers are up and games are running...
BUT for you to connect to them you must change your local Computer time because of an certificate error.

I second the error 13 decal. Likely will see some free premium time out of it. Some are suggesting a free crusader variant but lets be honest here. That won't happen

I am not changing the system date on my PC with any repercussions that may carry for all other functions and connections just to accommodate PGI not maintaining their certificate. Fox the real problem.

U can change the date back as soon as u log in

Attention Mechwarriors:

Please note and be alert that there are many applications including games with anti-cheat software that will choke and cause possible corruption on your system using this workaround even if you are not directly using those applications at the time if for example they are running background tasks and services. While the workaround appears to work for MWO be aware of what you are running and be careful.

Some people have ISP's that do not "play nice".
