Greetings, Warriors.

We’ve got a mid-sized patch with nice improvements and content updates rolling out for MechWarrior 5: Clans. This patch contains a mix of bug fixes, balance tweaks, and quality-of-life improvements across the game, with a focus on Wolves of Tukayyid. We’ve also made a few cockpit and Arrow IV updates based on testing and feedback.
Digital Extras owners will see a separate update to the Digital Extras DLC, adding new Wolves of Tukayyid art book content, including
additional characters, missions, and tech.
(The Technical Readout Manual update will be coming in the future)

Thanks for playing MechWarrior 5: Clans and for all the feedback, bug reports, and suggestions.

And yes, while we have your attention, the team is already hard at work on the next MW5 Mercs and Clans DLCs. More details on the MW5 Mercs DLC 8 will be coming at the end of March.

The MechWarrior 5 Team.

PATCH WILL DEPLOY on FEB 10th at 11 AM PDT 2 PM EDT 6 PM UTC

Wow! I expected Clans to get another DLC, but I'm surprised to hear Mercs is still getting another!

I hope that for the MW5 Mercs DLC, we get IS OmniMechs and Operation Bulldog as a continuation from Shadow of Kerensky and as a nice little throwback to Mechwarrior 3.

Wow seriously important Fixes..^^ I see you totaly listened to Players feedback...
Andwhats with  that Starmates are ignoring "Attack my Target" Order when the Elementals are on them? No matter how often you give the Command?
Makes totally sense that the ones with real Firepower are not shooting Enemys while the ones with the lowest firepower are on them..
Separate the Elementals from the f1 orders . Makes nos ense in Battle tog ive teh order cause the Mechs are not focussing the target while elementals are also attacking it..

I suppose it's a bit early for "Bulldog". There was "Guerrero" in 3057. We still has no campaign for Marik or Liao side Posted Image Also there was Coventry in 3058.

When will the Digital Extras be made available outside of the game? It feels like a complete waste of money since I can't do anything with the extra content I paid for being locked to a section of the running game. This is why people pirate content.

Since SoK ends in 3052, PGI could jump the story to three years later in 3055 where we would see mechs like the Bushwacker being created along with other IS OmniMechs coming out as the years progress. I can see Operation Guerrero as an optional contract to make up for joining House Davion during the 2nd DLC as a scenario. I'd say that the era extention should go to 3055-3060 to make way for MW6. Going this route also gives PGI a lot of opportunities for stories like Operation Bulldog and Battle of Coventry like you said.

As for the 8th DLC for MW5 Mercs, I can see PGI adding these type of IS Mechs:

BattleMechs:
  • Bushwacker (created in 3053, ported over from MWO)
  • Gunslinger (Created in 3053 as a show of Unity between the FC and DC, might need more variants if put in MWO)
OmniMechs

Recycled - These are mech that PGI could create with less time using MWO/MW5's assets.
  • Black Hawk KU (created in 3055, recycled from the Nova)
  • Firestarter Omni (created in 3056, recycled from the Firestarter)
  • Blackjack Omni (created in 3057, recycled from the Blackjack)
  • Perseus (created in 3058, recycled from the Orion)
  • Arctic Fox (created in 3059, recycled from the Kit Fox)
While I'm not expecting a full makeover, I do hope PGI slightly modifies them to look somewhat different. However, whether PGI's art team will give it the "Black Hawk KU" treatment or "pull a Gauntlet" remains to be seen.

Draconis Combine Originals - These are original Mechs PGI can make. Some of them could be half-bashed with pre-existing assets.
  • Raptor (created in 3052)
  • Avatar (created in 3056, made from Mad Dog parts)
  • Sunder (created in 3056, made from Summoner and Hellbringer parts)
Besides, it's time that the IS get more Omnis aside from the Black Hawk KU and Gauntlet.

Thinking about the next DLC for Mechwarrior 5, the Jade Falcon's Refusal War would be the next logical step after Wolves of Tukayyid. After all, PGI now has models for the Ward boys, Phelan and Vlad, Marthe Pryde, Diana, Natasha Kerensky and Ulric K. Also given the fact in lore that Clan Ghost Bear doesn't care about the Wolves and Clan Smoke Jaguar kept getting raided by Draconis and Clan Nova Cat forces, only Clan Jade Falcon was fit enough to challenge Clan Wolf and in a way, this could serve as their revenge for the loss of Aidan Pryde when you think about it.

For some Clan Jade Falcon designs, I could see these OmniMechs being in the DLC.

OmniMechs
  • Fire Falcon - Created in 3052, a superior OmniMech version of the Locust IIC.
  • Black Lanner - Created in 3052, can be ported over from MWO.
  • Turkina - The mech was created in 3052 and saw action in Tukayyid. It became a mainstay of the Jade Falcons after the Refusal War. (I hope, fingers crossed)
- Normally, I would suggest the Night Gyr, but we already have that thanks to the Flash Storm DLC. Also, even though the Cougar is a Jade Falcon mech, it didn't exist until 3058 after the Refusal War and election of Marthe Pryde to Khan.

For BattleMechs, PGI could pull these out of the MWO vault and add them to the DLC.

BattleMechs
  • Vapor Eagle (Goshawk)
  • Marauder IIC
  • Warhammer IIC
  • Stone Rhino (Behemoth)
