"Whenever we're dealing with bad news, a difficult person, or a disappointment of some kind, most of us get into certain habits, ways of reacting(particularly adversity)that don't serve us very well. We overreact, blow things out of proportion, hold on too tightly, and focus on the negative aspects of life. When we are immobilized by little things(when we are irritated, annoyed, and easily bothered) our (over) reactions not only make us frustrated but actually get in the way of getting of what we want. We lose sight of the bigger picture, focus on the negative, and annoy other people who might otherwise help us. In short, we live our lives as if they were one great big emergency! We often rush around looking busy, trying to solve problems, but in reality, we are often compounding them. Because everything seems like such a big deal, we end up spending our lives dealing with one drama after another.
After a while, we begin to believe that everything really is a big deal. We fail to recognize that the way we relate to our problems has a lot to do with how quickly and efficiently we solve them."

That was an excerpt from a book i started today, as i was reading it i thought of all of us here who don't have beta invites and i wanted to share with everyone that it doesn't really matter, sure we would all love to be in it true, but there's no reason to get upset about, or get mad, we will all get to play it eventually, so be happy for the ones that did.

Just make sure you shoot them later :)

This is my take on not getting one :)
I'm still excited for the Closed Beta! Even if I don't have an invite, it just means the game is that much closer to reality!

Exactly. While I check my email several times a day I'm not heartbroken I don't get an inv. It's be like expecting to see Santa walking into your local 7-11. It'd be amazing, but likely? Nah. Just enjoy your day-to-day life, the call-ups will reach you in their own time.

That's something I'm gonna carry with me and try to spread around. Very nice words, very true too.

Heh. I aways thought it'd be really cool to be part of the closed BETA. Though it'll be cool being a part of any stage of the games developement. Always look on the bright side of things, yes?

I'm with you, Mason.

Events (for me) occurring in June otherwise this game are much more exciting. Our first child's due date is June 15th, so I don't expect a beta invite should discourage me from current tasks. Look at the bright side, we're a lot closer to playing now then last month.

It IS a little depressing, but there is not much you can do till Paul finds his way back inside the sever room, which i now hear has an armed guard.
