when we got the startup sequences in place of the timer it was GREAT, we've been seeing a lot of cockpit items for the dashboard, but what about the pilot him/herself? Each animation would range from 5-10 seconds.

suggestions could include;

drumming on the Dashboard until the mech starts up
Looking at their nails, even though covered by thick Gloves
Checking their invisible watch and tapping at it.
cracking their knuckles, both regular and invert (with sound)
pushing random buttons
not knowing which buttons to push
flipping through a pilot manual and throwing it behind them
lifting their feet off the dashboard and dusting it off
Tapping their feet
counting down with their fingers
wiping the fog off the inside of the windshield
turning off sparking circuits with buttons
feeling around for the ejection handle
and slapping the joystick around like it was a... joystick?

what does the community think? Would you pay for some awesome pilot animations that do not affect gameplay?

nice idea ;)

Maybe something with switching a Monitorscreen to the new No Guts no Galaxy Episode.
Pushing the old Beercans down to the floor.
Sitting his fluffy Mascot to the Window.

Another could be having the guy smashing random buttons comically. Anyways this is a pretty cool idea.

That's an interesting and unique customization option. I like this for freshness. Would add that extra touch of flair to recorded games too, so it's not entirely for self-viewing. Nothing like recognizing somebody's cam feed by the crap on their dash and how they power up.

Edit: I'd like the Han Solo Power Up.

Well, looks a bit unusual for a starting secquence, but maybe ...if the deellopers are having a goofing moment,.. they implement such a secquence for MC. But i guess, this one, would be real expensive. ;)

Only if it was added to a list of animations picked randomly each start. Otherwise you'd get bored of the new ones too, and really se no value in them.

another item could be a Raven 3L or Commando 2D VOODOO DOLL with pins and needles, scorch marks and realistic burlap and hay exterior

The 3L alone would fund the game for the rest of the year methinks.

i would love to have monitor spark and smoke, and my pilot slapping it to put out the fire... and then mech starts up as the smoke clears.

Great Idea. ;)

As a Animation, the Pilot just pins another needle in it before Match starts. ;)

I would pay for less godawful textures on the gloves and pants at least.

with the options for Male or Female pilots as well, and more meshes (body types) for the pilots that you can buy for cash.

With some good Voiceactors you could build in a complete Soap. Once a Month you can get a new episode.

This is an idea I could get behind. I wouldn't mind seeing some things like the newish Steel Battalion. Randomly pressing buttons, hearing fans whirring, slapping at stuff, clearing away dust/garbage that might get in the way, maybe something to change Betty's voice like a GPS or just turning dials and it would change what music you would hear playing.
