Dragonar League: Mechwarrior Online League for Active Teams

The Dragonar Fight Nights is a simple point based ladder league with team and faction rankings. The league was created for MechWarrior Online group leaders to coordinate and record matches on a weekly basis with a set schedule and routine. With a routine schedule groups can build a more consistent team and group leaders will have less stress and anxiety by only fielding a lance when they are able to. Weekly results and overall rank standings will be recorded for Teams and Factions. For more details please read our Dragonar Fight Night Rules.

Disclaimer: This is a work in progress and anything is subject to change by the league administrator during our first season. The league is not automated and will be maintained by hand using spreadsheets, simple html pages, and forums in order to be useful and functional. Our goal is to have fun and lance.

Test Night Saturday (3/9) 7-11pm EST

I'm not expecting this to pick up that fast or anything. There's other more interesting planetary and house leagues going on and this isn't meant to be like Run Hot or Die which is MWO's main competitive league. I'm not that into worrying about planetary aspects when I play and feel just Team and Faction/Employer ranking would do to make some groups have some fun.

Back on Multiplayer Battletech: Solaris we started off with community run events with Saturday Fight Nights which were just blue and red teams with houses and merc units roughly splitting up equally into the two colors and one organizer that would pair up matches with lances that were waiting for a match. After several Fight Nights that lead to the Succession Sim Wars or SSW. Lead officers from each house would take the role of their house organizers and coordinate our lances to fill up rooms in sectors of Solaris to defend or attack rooms that lead to each house's capitol. We spent a lot of time just having fun dropping by ourselves until an opponent showed up.

We need to start somewhere so any groups interested in participating please sign up and test this out for this Saturday March, 9th for a couple hours from 7-11pm EST.

Thanks,

Moku

With the solo tournament promo and no groups interested yet I get to chill. I encourage new and experienced teams to join. At least if you're a new team you can participate in a simple opt-in league system instead of diving head first into one that requires a lot more work, coordination, and committment.

We're looking for some teams to join. The Dragonar Fight Nights can eventually lead to a tournament if we have enough teams.

Why don't you join RHoD's second season guys? Even if it's still quite fresh and has a way to go and polish many angles RHoD already has a decent number of competitive teams fighting against each other. More of them in one league means more fun for us all. And I bet TheMagician could use some help with ogranisation as well.

Adding more new teams in RHOD season 2 does not necessarily mean a better league or more fun. One-third of the North American league dropped out. I would say adding more teams to that league would not be a good idea. They still have to complete season 1 and update their rules for season 2 including team criteria. Anyhow thanks for the well intended thought.

Teams should easily be able to the Dragonar League and any other league.

It's not about features but about how many good active teams are there. Almost all dropouts were units unable to maintain stable 8v8 team. They got beaten and\or\because_of_that lost interest.

Season 1 is heading straight into the playoffs. There are no real problems with rules as both league administration and participants are understanding and mature enough.

Also we all get that these are temporaty measures. Amateur leagues won't stay when PGI progresses far enough into CW and stuff like that. Still before that time comes we can at least play together to have some good competitive fights. And the more teams gather at one place the better is competition which in itself leads to more fun for us all.

Seems there's little to no interest in the Fight Night idea. If more teams want a Lance League I can easily set that up with similar drop rules. Much more teams are necessary. If any teams are interested then they can post here and maybe there will be a slight chance we can do something, but from the looks of things most teams already have stuff to do or are just counting on PGI to deliver.
