Looks like a volley of LRMs broke the hell out of your stride...

...and your arm, and your right torso and your center torso.

I don't think I've ever been so thoroughly decimated by LRMs

Rather amusing. I wouldn't read too much into it considering the mech you were in and the state of your armor... or lack of it, at the time. I loaded up an LRM+A Stalker yesterday to test out the new missiles. From what I can see is they are freaking deadly against anything standing still, but seem a lot less impressive if the target is moving at all. I'm not even certain they are as good against moving targets as they were pre-patch. I had a Commando take multiple 60-missile volleys and keep running. But it might just be an issue with missiles in general. I've watched other mechs shrug of SRMs like they were water balloons since the patch.

Come on guys, he was already beaten up badly... thats for starters. I have played about 15 matches yesterday, couple just after the patch. I was killed by lasers, gauss rounds, SRM's, hell once I got clean surgical 4 PPC shocker through my K2 front window in first fire exchange :D But not a single time ( at lest till now ) any LRM got a final blow at me, got fired with thousands... got damaged sometimes badly, but they are avoidable.

Only LRM equipped Battlemech I was using since was AS7-K ( 2 AMS play out quite nice btw ) with 1 X LRM15+ Artemis I just saved the cash to equip, and yes I had good experience with it... combined with Gauss and ER Lasers. Good experience not cause they are OP but cause many of you guys just sitting there and waiting for those bees to hit you like a bloody statue.

Keep in mind that even once I was under constant fire from couple of so called easy button LRM hell missile doom bringers just to look at their 1000's missiles wasted in frozen city. Since LRM boats were wasting their tremendous firepower on me... rest of my team was able to use that to our advantage pretty well.

I see plenty complaining about incoming missile warnings, but from what I see it actually should be louder and non stop that someone will take hint eventually. And like COME ON if you are killed by LRM's constantly maybe its time to invest in AMS or stay with ECM guys and don't rush open ground at beginning of the match.

Just to add...that poor guy was just in the wrong place at wrong time thats all ;)

A light mech, with armor already mostly gone, that decided to ignore the "incmoing missile" and went to the open instead of hugging a building for a few seconds.

He asked for it.

Or do PGI need ot make the warning even bigger, even more red and even more flashy?

Seems you should have paid more attention to the rest of the lyrics:

Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride
Nobody's gonna slow me down, oh-no
I got to keep on movin'
Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride
I'm running and I won't touch ground
Oh-no, I got to keep on movin'

You're on a roll and now you pray it lasts
The road behind was rocky
But now you're feeling cocky

Oh noes, a cored out light mech got killed by something.

If it was a fresh mech it would have been better.

Oh noes, a pilot with a lack of humor posted on a topic.

If your lines were fresh it would've been better.

;)

You must relax and find some humour, too much time on these forums is bad for your health
