Seriously why don't we have a some metal that looks like metal? Silver, gold aluminium on a mech would be the cat's ***. I can't see paying so much for a premium colour like red, come on red; but I would drop some more money on paints if I could pick up some chrome!

Metallic colours sound great. Not as great as glowing Atlas eyes like back in the good old closed beta days, but both are ways to earn money from me, Cryptic, err, I mean PGI.

it should be a "finish" option

there should be an "paint finish" option

where you can apply a metallic/matte/gloss/concrete finish. The crysis engine supports objects being made of different materials it would be very easy to implement. Having specific colors on a mech be a different finish would be very difficult and unlikely though.

the Death's Knell has a metallic finish btw.

I would be surprised if metallic paints aren't already in the pipe and coming in the next couple of weeks as they are a no-brainer.

In the earlyer Armored Core games. The defult color was a metalic silver. Which makes it look unpainted. I see no reason not ot have our Mechs like that.
