I am VERY pleased to see this. Trial mechs have been an issues since Closed Beta, and I feel that this is an excellent way to address the problem and involve the community.

I look forward to seeing the winning entries,and I would be absolutely thrilled if one of mine was in consideration (but I doubt it, lol). And even the ones that don't make the cut could be a lot of fun to try. I hope a lot of people post their builds for all to see.

My only complaint, as mentioned in the actual thread by another poster, is the inability to use Smurfy to post our builds. I think working with Smurfy for the next time we have a trial mech build off would be an excellent idea.

I remember those closed beta trial mechs :3 I had to buy a commando just because it was the cheapest thing and grinding in the trials was a nightmare. I love the COM now :3 So i guess not all bad ^
