Didn't see this here or in the announcements section. The MWO facebook page posted this new diagram showing what looks like most, if not all, of the mech weapons and components for the game.

I hope these will really affect how your Mech looks like, depending on where you put the stuff. But this is very dependent on how the Mechlab will work in thos MW.

I would think that they MUST affect how the Mech looks. Otherwise, why bother designing each weapon type? They'd just have "Generic gun ports" on most things.

Excellent find! While I love the idea of weapons looking different, I am a little apprehensive about how such a change may make some of our mechs look worse, though they may be configured to better suit our piloting styles.

that looks pretty sweet. I really hope that it does affect the outer appearance, that way I can tell more or less how an enemy mech is geared if I can spend the time to look at him.
