TL DR: This is a beta, yet there is still bugs from months ago that haven't even been attempted to be fixed. Major game breaking bugs. Yet devs place priority in things that should be released AFTER OFFICIAL GAME release.

####################################################
####################################################

FYI This is a beta, not the real game, so why on earth is PGI so interested in only making the camos and coolant flushes and all the paid for stuff before, actually using the beta to test game mechanics and bugs?!?

THEY are treated the game as if it is released. they are not trying new things and testing, they are releasing content they hope will sell.

I am here to beta test this game and try and make it better.

I have found major bugs in this game, and through 4 to 5 patches I haven't even seen any effort towards fixing them, YET I have seen tons of new STUFF YOU CAN BUY being released every month.

Like the joysticks and throttle sticks(maybe brand or type I dont know) are bugging due to the actionmap.xml making some actions index="2" and for me and many many people I know the only way to get their stuff working is to edit the actionmap.xml, find and replace 21 times index="2" to index="1" then switch the file to read only so the game wont change it.

My solution thread here http://mwomercs.com/...r-latest-patch/

Not once has a dev or anyone even acknowledged this is a bug or a problem. This problem has made many people I know quit the game and it has made them look down on PGI for not even fixing a major problem that actually WONT LET YOUR PERIPHERALS WORK!

Still 2 weeks later and not even 1 comment or fix or anything. Sure they will hotfix and nerf LRM's but they wont hot fix to fix JOYSTICKS AND THROTTLE STICKS.

Other issues are map bugs where the map stops turning or is black, or funky colors. What about the bad texture popping on some levels?

What about the horrible horrible PIP advanced zoom?

what about tweaking Weapon ranges?

What about over all adjustments to game to allow more balanced play on large maps?

What about fixing the damage output on machine guns? They do not do even as advertised...

What about fixing collision>

What about fixing LRMS instead of just nerfing them. For people who say "well they equal to TT rules, this isn't TT game, they need to be useful here!

ECM needs to be adjusted

Ballistic damage some times seems to not register

Other random HUD Bugs

Spots on maps where you can get stuck and cannot get out

Games launching without full groups

Crashes that crash people to desktop caousing usually at least 1 DC at the start of every game

I am not mad at PGI, yes I know they need to make money. I am upset at the fact that they are pretending this is a beta, yet they are not interested at fixing or testing anything, they just want to sell us stuff.

You guys are getting a little bit too greedy. Please, I beg you PGI, use this beta as a ******** beta, not a cash grab.

At this rate when you say "we no longer beta" it will be as nothing but a gimmick to try and make more money.

So that facebook and media blast about some announcement was just just the announcement that in a few months they might add 12v12 and by summer MAYBE release game out of beta?
Kinda lame news that I don't see why anyone who wasn't already playing wouldn't know.

No dates, no screenshots, no definitive anything...

So basically I was told that nothing interesting will b in this game for 3 months?

8 v 8 is getting boring.. either base race, once in a while a great fight, or all lights that just run and around and hide..

I feel like there is 2 classes of players in this game. The newer people who just have 2 to 5 mechs, and the vet's who have more, all maxed out, with a superior knowledge of the weapons and lore. The later half become before serious, want to win at all costs, and make others look foolish.

The first half, don't know the tactics, and are just trying to have fun. and not really serious about winning.

So the problem that happens is the vets get maxed experience and cbills, and have so much, it is nothing to them. They base race to win, because to them they do not care if they get low amounts of cbills and exp.

PGI needs to make some new game modes. make team death match only, or something new. Make a more connected game that connects more with the lore.

Right now I feel there is no reason for me to play each match now. I maxed out the two kinds of mechs I wanted, now I am just stock piling cbills and experience on my already mastered mech.

I got nothing to do with the experience I get now, and feel no real drive or push to keep playing.

1 mech a month and 1 map a month to every 2 months just isn't enough to tide people over.

I got all excited at the "WE GOT A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT LATER TODAY!" then was let down by "We might do something in 3 months..."

Who ever did that news media blast should be fired.

I am now quitting until something big comes. Right now, I don't feel like I am helping out beta testing, which is why I am here, it feels like I am just another customer trying to be sold things to.

You guys are wasting so much beta time making skins, and sellable crap that frankly could be released AFTER the beta, but no, you would rather SPEND BETA TIME working on frivilious extras that just further complicate the game mechanics, or are purely aesthetic.

.
Dont worry, theyre launching in september or so. Funny though. They think they can rush a game out, completed, with a 4 month or so CB, less than a year in open.

So how is the guy that creates the holo-mechs the same that works on game engine controls?

As for LRM fix over joystick, I would venture to guess the vast majority of players currently use a mouse + keyboard. LRMs were killing everyone.

I don't agree with the statement that patches are just new stuff to buy and not fixes and balance tweaks. The thing that most people pay attention to are the new mechs and stuff to buy, but if you look at pretty much every set of patch notes, there are plenty of fixes and balance tweaks.

Personal opinion, but I think the game is coming along nicely. It gets tedious and repetitive at times, but I understand that content is a work in progress alongside the usual tweaks, fixes, and updates.

Adding content is part of having a Beta.

Believe it or not, there is a 3rd class of player: the beta player, who is actually testing the limits of the game, and not playing to win, but to test.

All of the people who are here just to win a shootout, and all of the people who complain about why they didn't win their shootout, should pack up and go home and let us BETA TESTERS do our job.

Sheesh. Bucha whiny babies.

I no longer agree with him since he edited his post

there are many things now that need to be fixed yet all we're getting is more content

list of things that have needed fixing :
Collision
LRMs
Ecm
machine guns
state rewind on ballistics
state rewind on missiles
weapon range needs to be redone due to larger maps
Ballistic damage not registering AT ALL sometimes.
HUD bugs
Map bugs
game launching without full groups 80% the time
ready-up bug forcing you to restart the client

ROFL IF you read at all my post, you would honestly know I am pissed because I AM IN THAT BETA TESTER CATEGORY! lol thats the whole point of the post.

I am here to beta test, and I feel like it is a waste of my time, and that I am not beta testing, just playing with a bunch of people that want to play the game.

again, have you never used a joystick in the left hand and a mouse in the right? Why does everyone laugh at joysticks?

That set up is a good set up with a joystick in the left hand. I don't get whats so funny about it...

lol I make an honest post that may be a little negative, but it is dealing with a topic that is touchy and I feel no one is talking about it, not trying to be negative towards any players or the DEV's, trying to start a conversation that is ment to get the game back on track of BETA and use the BETA to improve the game, and I find it funny howmany people will come into my topic, and post nothing but insults or troll attempts.

You honestly going to take the time to laugh at the fact I like to , as well as my friends like to use a joystick in the left hand, but you won't add ANYTHING constructive, or opinion, or facts, or anything useful to the conversation. You are basically 'that guy' on the bus who creepily listens into everyone conversations and then diss them about what they are talking about when you don't know them or have nothing to do with them.

Congrats on being "that guy"

So what, because you don't like to use joysticks, you don't feel they should at least work for anyone who might want to use one?? Your a founder, wtf you doing trolling dude? You are supposed to be helping improve this game and wanting it to improve and get better..

Hey to each his own, diversity makes the world fun and makes the game easier if people choose awful controls to use. I'm not the best MW so any help I get from people gimping themselves is great. Use whatever control scheme you think works best for you.

Heaven forbid a video game company try to make money. It's almost as strange as a politician trying to get votes.

They are not ripping people off. This is a quality product already and it is getting way, way better every month. Like I have said before, I only get to play 3 hour periods once a week at my bros and I have a blast (probably the only thing that keeps me going) . They stay more true to the Lore then MW2+. MW2 had the Clans taking Terra at the end, and the latest X-Box game had some super Battlemech with a Force-Field and a Rail Gun with x2 the strength of a Gauss Rifle per hit.

So far this game has stayed the closest to lore AND it is Free to Play AND it is Online. What more do they want?

The Bounty Hunter: The Inner Sphere is not enough! :)
