Recently i come up with idea for new mode, first you choose any 4 mechs in a mech bay if you have less you can select one of the trials (You can't select one variant more then once, so 4 RVN-3L is not allowed). Map has 5 locations (for large maps and 12vs12 7) each of it gives your points (resources), provide you location for respawn and lower respawn time. If you mech destroyed pilot ejected and after 1 min (1,5 min for 12vs12) can select next mech and hot drop to one of the locations owned by your team (each location above 1 provide you with bonus - lowering respawn timer by 10 sec).

Basically, it is much the same as a conquest, but after mech destruction, you can select next one and hot drop on any owned location.

Winning conditions

Reaching time limit team with more resources wins
Reaching resources limit (same as conquest mode)
Destroying all enemy mechs (If you destroyed all 4*8 enemy mechs)
Capturing and holding all 5 location and eliminating all enemy mechs currently deployed on the battlefield. (If you lose all respawn location and failed to re-capture at least one then it's done for you)

Time limit 30 min
Rewards
salvage bonus,
resource bonus,
time bonus (Faster is better)

Advantages
1 Encourages ppl to own more mechs master them, and thus buying mech bays, premium time and eventually supporting game
2 Controlling area is very important, thus you cant sit defending 1 location
3 Longer matches is fun
4 Easy to implement even now

Disadvantages
1 Every player is important, if someone leaves match or stay afk it hurts you even more, cause you loose not 1 but 4 mechs.

HARDCORE VARIANT
the same but you select 1 assault 1 heavy 1 medium and 1 light

So, a Raven 3L, a Cicada 3M, A Jager ac40, and an Atlas DDC? Think that covers the cheese builds for the hardcore varient. As far as the normal.. oh there's a ton of cheese out there. I guess it would also help to define what you consider cheese builds as well.

The mode though, could be fun. I guess the way to counter the dc's would make it a 4man or 8man group drop only type thing.

By cheese builds i mean builds which use bad game mechanics for example ssrm+ecm or missile boating before nerf, when missiles make a lot more damage then intended. I don't like idea that ppl play only one favorite mech cheese build or not. Secondly, this mode implement strategic part - you can choose you next mech. For example you saw that enemy has a lot of lights, and you take your anti-light mech. Then it's fun because you can kill person that kills you in same match.

Also this mode encourages ppl to buy more MC, at least to buy mech bays. If you have only 3 mastered ravens it won't be fun for you. More MC means devs could hire more ppl or even have dedicated server to test new patches +).

First of all i dont think cicada and Jager are cheese. And also Hardcore mode is called hardcore not because you cant select cheese builds, but cause you need to own mechs from all classes and thus at least own 12 mechs (you want them mastered) and have skills for different play styles.

Eventually you are right, ppl can play any mechs they want, so i remove the statement about cheese =)

Cicada 3M is cheese now? B)
Anyway I think a game mode with respawn is already planned, we'll probably be getting a conquest version of that too. But it's a good idea either way.
