If you install Endo-Steel and later decide to remove it, and then change it back, do you have to pay for it each time? What about Ferro Armor and Artemis?

there is a price for converting back to standard from endo (smaller than initial endo cost). And then if you decide you want endo again later it will cost original endo price to get it back.

That kind of sucks. I am really not sure if I want to put XL engine back in my Heavy Metal. Paying for the endo/regular swap while experimenting with it ... boo. I wish it was like the other components. :)

Agree that sucks. I think it should be that you buy for example "endo-steel for spiders" and now you can freely put that component in any variant of a spider. I mean it sucks when I see someone with a raven-2x or something on my team, and I know that since he's probably just levelling this up for elite, he's probably using SHS and standard internals and armor.

If it worked the way I said, he could buy "endo for ravens", "ferro for ravens", "dhs for ravens", and use those as he levels up each variant, and then put them in his 3l when he's done. There'd be less PUG teams that get randomly gimped because somebody is working on his variants.

I agree. Once you have brought both endo and standard structures, you should be able to swap back and forth for a nominal cost.

The Same with ferro / standard armor.

I have made a post in the Suggestion section and quoted MuKen's excellent explanation of a good way to make it work.

I guess they could just have an endo steel installation/uninstallation surcharge once you've bought the skeleton, but... Posted Image

I could write a wall of text on why special taxes on telecommunications and other utilities are economically broken, but I will spare you.

I don't think it really has any relationship to the cost of downgrading and later re-upgrading the fictional structure of giant video-game robots.

It will let you put the upgrades in with a pop up saying you got to pay for it, just make sure you press cancel to not pay for it. So you can still see it on your lab, but you can't test drive it.

Don't forget about great third party sites: http://mwo.smurfy.de

Then you'll know what you need and not have to switch!

Well the techs need to be paid you know, they keep your mech running after all and you cant swap a mechs skeleton out in a single afternoon.

you have to, for the simple reason that it´s not a simple "swap in, swap out" module or what ever, its a complete reconstruction. if you want to remove the upgrades, you have to reconstruct the stuff again, so it costs money again. and btw, your techs have to be payed, they got children

edit:lol, yea what DDD said :D
