"Plot armor" is a funny term. All five houses had plot armor. Liao was chopped in half but their resurgence after was like no one else in the Inner Sphere. I'd call that plot armor in a heartbeat. I do agree that Davion got a lot of favor in the original line of books (I had chosen Davion as a faction before they became standard fare for BT fiction and felt a little sheepish later on for it). Plot armor, though? Everyone's had it. The Smoke Jaguars have it, since they reappear as the Fidelis in Dark Age and are allowed to become themselves again at one point. The Wolverines had plot armor. Fredrick Steiner was shot in the eye at close range and lived - plot armor. Who didn't have plot armor? The Circinus Federation. *KABOOM*

First off. The caleb blunder puts davion in a horrible position
I agree. However, i believe it is only to forge new strong characters. How better to do that then against odds. Julian davion is going to sweep the coreward capellans who are not doing AS well as the new sytris push. With the first davion guards and a brigade of adhoc supporters.

I also bet the davion light guards after getting the 3rd? Nasa card plays a roll in slowing the dragon and i bet the snow ravens have more deceit planned , (destruction of both fedsuns and draconis navies.

Being a supporter of and not against devlins troops will also be a long term investment. Like the ghost bears.

The wolf dragoons will preform well of course. But may repeat history and switch sides at some point.

The lyrans are in much more precarious state. I wonder if anastasia kerensky is destined to reunite the wolves.
