Well after last night I was so tired of all of the bugs, glitches and such that I sold everything except my founders mech and uninstalled the game.
I have over 1 million experience points and 300 mil cb with 35000 mc. It was hard to quit but it was this or throw my computer against the wall.

So long and have fun.

Yay you gave in to your ragequit. I hope you feel better now.

have you contacted support yet?

they may want to see your logs to see if they can fix your problem. If they don't know about the problem how can they fix it (assuming your scenario is unique)?

Not yet - but will do.
Cheers

Well if it is not a gaming laptop, it is not going to cut it. And laptops arent exactly very heat efficient XD try getting double heatsinks haha jking. Trying to put something under your laptop to prop it up, improves airflow alittle :P

I play on my desktop which is abt midrange graphic wise last yr haha. Good to hear you are planning to get a desktop. Hopefully they are affordable where you are at.

As for the others with those graphic bugs, are you guys using nvidia? The latest patch notes said something about tweaking about nvidia drivers related thingy lol. Sorry im not exactly a tech guy, just a gamer being an amateur

Im using an ATI 6670 2GB card. i would report my system specs but it's a refurbished and modified computer so i have no idea how to give PGI the system specs they need

It's possible to find out what your hardware specifications are with an application like Everest.

Some updates on bug fixes coming in the next patch:

* Kaleidoscope bug (lots of multi colored polygons) is fixed
* 2 additional sources of black screen bugs have been found and addressed
* Patcher update to help address FRead bug

We are also aiming to have a fix for the remaining HUD issues, we're working hard to isolate the root cause and get the changes in the next patch we'll see if we make the cut off or not. As mentioned in my Command Chair post stability is a top priority for us right now and we're aiming to make the next patch much more stable. Once that is accomplished we will do another client side performance pass to identify what is hurting lower end machines performance.

Thanks to all those of you who are working with us providing reports/logs etc. to identify and address these issues.

Thanks Matthew. Currently, the HUD bugs are really crippling, and happening around 75% of the matches I play, which kind of sucks (prior to the last patch, they were fairly rare).

I know this feeling - many users have reported performance losses of 10-20fps since the last patch, me included; the only 'fix' which seems to have worked for me was to halve my screen resolution in the attributes.xml file and use a customized user.cfg file for low end machines.
MWO is kind of playable for me, again, though I still have no idea what's wrong.

Also, some users have suggested that Nvidia GPUs may not detect 3D scenes in MWO and try instead to render 2D scenes with reduced power under certain settings...
Apparently, using MSI Afterburner to force the GPU to work at its full load even on 2D scenes can potentially fix this issue; I've tried to apply this fix, too, though it doesn't seem to have helped any.

But I think you should try it anyway.

As for MWTactics, I've never played it, but from what I hear, it's not very well-optimized at this point, so performance could actually be as bad as MWO.

You'll get used to it, sirrah.
I'm so loose I don't even feel dirty anymore. ;)

Thanks Lorcan Lladd, I've tried most of those suggestions to no avail.
I beta tested MW TC for the i-phone, that to was a bit glitchy also. Sounds like developing a computer game is hard.
Sorry to hear about your loose cherry, ya filthy beast.
It's good hearing from ya tho, cheers mate.

I kinda feel like I'm back in closed beta... You remember: LRM apocalypse, fps problems, knocked down mechs teleporting all over the joint. Crazy days, ka-razey days.

I would disagree. Tourmaline Desert has changed the game significantly.

(Way more folks are apparently hacking their Map files to avoid it. )

I love it btw.

Someone in other thread had a novel idea. Whenever you start up and glitch, just blame it on your MechBay Techs. They either suck, aren't getting paid enough or like to play practical jokes on the asshat driving said Mech.

The boo'd him off the stage btw, the idea guy. Someone heckled something about he/she should feel bad or some such. The usual. ;)

Thank you Matthew for your post. I'm a bit of noob when comes to this kind of thing (tech speak, as well as forums).
I'm mean no dis-respect. I believe PGI is putting a lot of thought and hard work into this game. I am very grateful to playing (and being a part of) a new Mechwarrior tittle :)
Many thanks.

When I get home I'll fill out a ticket to support - as best as I can.
