point has been brought up in the Hero Atlas thread about the timeline possibly jumping ahead into the future, because there are a lot of xotic mechs waiting to be made.Posted ImagePosted Image

I'm sure we'll spend like a year in 3050-3051, then timejump to 3062. And then we'll probably stay in 3062 till the game dies.

There's alot of mechs for the current timeline left.

I wouldn't bet on a time skip.

I do not think they will make time jump any soon. There are 16 Clan mechs from innitial waves and there are a lot of IS mechs viable for this timeline...and some more variants for current mechs.

This.

There are LOTS of mechs available. Several IS and oodles of clan mechs.

A timeline jump is extremely unlikely.

I seriously hope so. I would like to see a stable of 50 base mechs, not including variants, before there is even the thought of a timeline shift.

**** i hope not. I am out when 3062 hits; I had really hoped to get 12 years of a good game before it went to ****.

I would like to see a time skip at some point. At lot of the mechs of this time period for IS are all similar looking humanoid mechs with weak hardpoint layouts. I want post invasion mechs.

I would prefer they stick to the 1:1 timeline.

i think a skip is possible but why so soon? it makes more sense that they will do something like this a couple of years at least after launch or if the game starts to see a decline in playerbase or w/e
if you see what i mean?

There is no storyline in this game. Who cares about some whatever smoke jaguar things.

I don't want a skip, but as an expansion ( different server different account same gameplay + enhancements ) running both timelines with different accounts It could be a nice thought. This would of course need a large enough player base for each timeline to be considered IMO, but with a good base game ( current MWO once completed to PGI's intention ) modified to have the 3062 mechs/ maps/conflicts.
