Still seeing graphical hits with ballistics but not getting blip and not doing damage occasionally. Is this a work in progress? My client is still showing me hit and server is saying miss. I don't have a high ping either.

Looks like it might be just marginally off, but still a bit off.

i am thinking your post is saying this:

You are still having trouble hitting enemy targets. Visually the graphics appear to be hitting the target, but you notice the enemy target is not taking any additional damage from your attacks or "hits." Likewise, you show that your client is showing you as a good aim and that they should have hit - but either their lag or yours - the hits are still missing?

Question then: What is your ping?

Second question: Do you know what the enemy target's ping is?

Last question: Was the enemy target a fast small 'mech or big and slow?

I don't think my post needed translation from English into English but thanks anyways. It says clearly what it says. To restate I'm still seeing occasional graphical feedback of a hit through the client that isn't registering as a hit using ballistic weapons like gauss.

My ping is around 80, happening on all kinds of targets.

I haven't gotten to play the patch yet but shabowie is a decent player, I've been in random pug matches with him before, he's not some random knuckle dragger coming to stomp on the forums. So take his statement with a sense that it could possibly be true please. If others are seeing this please chime in.

BTW I'm not saying it isn't better, it's just still a bit off.

You know I probably should have put this in patch feedback, maybe a mod will take pity on me and move it.

I've not really noticed an improvement with hit detection. PPCs and ballistics are still a bit wonky for me.

When comparing the experiences in a Spider (SDR-5V) before and after patch there are huge differences in my opinion. Before you could run through an enemy team with only some scratches in the paint to show for it, now any half-decent pilot in a dual gauss or ac20 jager will one- or two-shot you if you show yourself for more than one second at a time. Note that this is not a bad thing per se, as the role of a light should really not be that of a tank, but more of a flanker, distracter and capturer instead.
Still, I think there will be one real downside to this: Non-ecm lights are going to become even more unattractive now, as the stealth capabilities that the ecm offers will be essential to survive the more daring maneuvers...

I have been getting OP's problem as well. While overall the system feels quite a bit better than it was, I'm getting more hits than ever before with both PPCs and autocannons where the projectile hits the target and I am given visual feedback to that end, but there is no damage registered to either the crosshair or paperdoll.

Agreed, sometimes HSR works, other times I have the graphical hit but no damage registration at all, that with HSR should happen nevertheless.

hsr is only a good thing if you have a stable ping, on up/down connections (wireless for example) it makes things worse

It's a game that is always seeing content added and new updates.

It will always be a work in progress.

Gauss hitdetection is extremly wonky for me.
Shot a nonmoving atlas 3 times a few minutes ago. (~300 meter distance)
2 of those 3 shots didn't cause any damage (100% hit, noone misses a stationary atlas at a 300 meter distance)

I think there have definitely been some improvements (~80ms ping here), however client animations and HSR don't seem to be fully synchronized yet. I'm not even sure how feasible it would be to fully synchronize them.

netcode is still being worked on, these are improvements but not the final system that will be in place at launch

seems like the HSR is working half the time, lol at least it is something.
