Hot Fix: Fixed a crash after the 'waiting for players' screen or the start up sequence.

Also: We are continuing to investigate the HUD issues and hope to have a fix out ASAP.

Servers should be back up by 10:30 PDT.

Cheers,
The MechWarrior Online Team

I personally have never had a crash, but I hope to hear less about it happening after the fix

Thanks for the update! I haven't had that crash yet, but I know those HUD problems are really driving people nuts.

Maybe having sporadic equipment failure could be a cool part of the game, but it can't just be random like this. I wouldn't mind hearing people scream "I've lost my HUD!" after taking several PPC/gauss shots to the cockpit, but hearing it right at the start of a match is...not so great.

Yeah this patch was only for the CTD issue.

You mean we might actually have an occasional 8v8, now?

Yippee!

That hotfix did absolutely nothing.

Just had one of those crashes it was supposed to fix. Also got a new 'memory allocation failed' crashbug.

Congratulations.

Looks like it's back to work for you guys.

That's great and all but as with all PGI bug-fixes, I wonder two things:

1 - Did the patch succeed at fixing the bug, because half the time they don't.
2 - What did the patch break, because every time you guys add code at least one new bug is born.

I admit, I too react to news of patches with fear and trepidation. I do not trust change. Ever since the patch that knocked 50 percent off my fps ....

P.S. Get off my lawn you darn kids *shakes cane*.

It's not fear and trepidation. I've been here 7 months now. I know how PGI "works".

Make sure you submit any crash dumps you have so that they can find further solutions. Just because they fixed A crash to desktop bug doesn't mean they got all of them.

Interesting... although it seems like damage isn't registering properly since the hotfix? Looks like there's a noticeable delay to the paper doll.

I know that you fixed another stuff but... For this 2 days I got none HUD issues and just one disconnect in the middle of the battle. Great job! But today I`ve seen a "dancing" map! It just turned and turned around randomly all direction. Jesus, I thought I got epileptic strike!
