Lake/ocean Base

General Scenario:
A base at the center of a large deep lake.

Drop/Modes:
Each team would start off on land on either side of the lake, and would need to make their way into the base (or to points along the shore) depending on the mode.
  • Assault: Destroy the enemy team before they capture the base
  • Conquest: Capture key points to control the base.
  • King of the hill: Capture and hold the base
Terrain:
There could be some points of interest around the lake, maybe platforms, docks or water processing plant along the edge (which could all server as conquest capture points) along with bridges that lead to the central base which is above a domed central base (below water).

The upper lake base could have towers on it, or even a Dropship or some other objective which needs defending (or taking over). It would have entry points which lead down to the lower domed base.

The domed base under water could be entered several different ways. First would be entry points from the upper base. These would be enclosed ramps leading down from above. There could also be underground tunnels starting from shore which lead to the lower lake base. Along with entering the water and walking through the water and entering the base from the water (through doorways).


Routes:
Quickest way would be the bridges over the water (is there a straight path or two side paths).

Is the underground tunnel the straight thru path, but brings you to the lower base which you then have to climb up to get above water, or is the walking through the water the straightest path (though slower).

Extras:
What is the effect in the water on specific weapons.

Bridges above the water: Some could be draw bridges, which are on a timer, or expanse bridges which slide out and back again on timer or maybe activation somehow?

Underwater doorways, again a timer, so if you need to get inside the dome (and out of fire) may have to wait for doors to open.

Also the dome you would be able to see through, but couldn't fire through (good for scouting). Lower base could be a death trap for some once you get in there.

Just as a note for you, highly defined ideas for games tend to be ignored by designers (not just for this game, but pretty much all games) as even if they are good ideas designers don't want the potential for people saying that they were stolen ideas.

Even if the person with the idea says that they give them up, reliquish the rights, etc. The potential for trouble is too much.

Not bad ideas however, sound like fun maps.

thats why they need to allow for user developed maps...

But if they really want to use it - would be more than willing to sign away...
