Joined a match and noticed my Founders Tag wasn't showing, I hate being just another gray mech player.

There is no option to turn on Founders Tag in the options menu, in or out of a game. I even tried using some backed up config files thinking it was corrupt, nope. Didn't work.

To some this is not an issue, but for me it is about pride. I like seeing my color in a sea of gray.

Hotfix please. Otherwise thank you.

same here, doesn't show the Tag option either in game or on the options menu out-of-match...

My client still has this option available, post-patch. I had it off during last patch version. Turned it on now, but it still doesn't show in game.

Same here. No longer have the "Show Founder's Tag" option.

I still have the option, but only from the shell/mechlab area. If I go to the options in-game menu, it's not on the list. However, even with the option checked, I don't see my founder's tag appear.

My founders tag has been missing since the early may patch. Whether it was checked or not in the options it didn't show. Have seen this patch yet so I can't say. I though maybe it was just my PC not showing it.

same problem here - since 21st may patch, my founder tag is missing and the "Founder Tag Show" option too.

Hope it will be fixed soon.

Founders are deemed OP and subjected to a planned nerf.

On a serious note, founders tag did disappear before, what I did is go into options, un-check, save, go back into options, check, save and it was back. Now its not working, 'show founders tag' option just disappears after you un-check it.

Heh I haven't seen my founders tag in Months. Well not entirely true, I disable show founders tag. Than after a few games I selected it again, and it showed for a full 3-4 days. (so that was about 2 weeks ago). Now again no founders tag…oh well.

I confirm this, and have a possible workaround, when u change the performance setting the checkbox comes back :-)
So, try to change from medium to high, or high to medium, etc, and see if the founders checkbox comes back.
Also, it depends if your in the game or not/full-screen or not I noticed.

I looked into my backup of the config files and found that it is related to the value set in:

attributes.xml

New setting:
<Attr name="Quick2" value="990072"/>

Old setting:
<Attr name="Quick2" value="0"/>

Also the setting: <Attr name="OptionCfg.ShowFoundersTag" value="1"/> was missing.

When I changed it to the old settings the option came back. Hope that helps! Now I have no idea what the Quick2 is for but the other is quite clear.

While I am here maybe someone from PGI would be nice enough to tell what the unclear settings in here are for.

I think that ResolutionIdx must be Sreen Resolution Index which would be the number of your resolution in the drop down list. So Viewmode is most likely Windowed mode and which option from that drop down list. But as to the other 4 I don't see anything directly related to them on the Options screen.

By chance is Quick1-4 your selected Mechs on the HomePage? Yep that is what that is. So from all this messing around the main issue is that the ShowFoundersTag was removed for some reason. When you add it back in you get the check box back. But it still doesn't show your founds Tag in game.

Oh one thing, you can never select your founder tag check box when in a match. If you check your setting when you're out of a match you should see the check box again.

Not that selecting and deselecting the check box helped with my founderstag, but meh now I'm an stealth founder!

well the foudners tag choice was always hidden ingame and thats how i lost it
forgot too turn it back on after changing some options and saving
and after relogging it was gone
