Get this when I try to access the MOW discussion forum. And when I try to log in :).

SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

I did make a new login to test if i ran into the same, but the forum acted normal.

All likelihood it was a connection problem, data was not getting back to you from the database.

You might want to try again.

Odd. I'm not seeing any abnormalities with your account, or the settings.

The system error: 111 [2013] is associated with the script not connecting with the database to get the data necessary to communicate. Retry connecting. If the error persists let us know.

Tried again and it worked. Could it be that I'm using Safari?

CoC is a requirement. If it doesn't work itself out before the game it most assuredly will when the game launches. Coordination and communications are the keys to winning battles... and I hate losing.

No offense to those running the site, but I'd rather have people having active discussions here...as is the intended purpose of this House Davion sub forum on MW:O. More people focused here, private or not, is better for the game then splintering the already semi fractured community.

However, that said, all the best and good luck/posts with your forum (which probably existed well before MW:O announced.)

Ah, I see what you did there, Divide and Conquer. Interesting. Ive been called paranoid by your buddy LordRush, which is amusing to me. I am far from paranoid. I work with people and have been trained to read and analyze social behavior, which is more of a pain in the *** than a helpful skill. Alot of people dont like that, but then again I digress.

You have me intrigued here....

Build rapport by getting people to come to "your" site, which in effect gets you a certain amount of baseline respect because you built a domain in which people can now feel important (more on this later). You get them to talk where you have control, trying of course to get them marching to the beat of your tune. You are smart, I will give you that. An interesting way to promote your original ideas of a master chain of command. I applaud your ingenuity. Tactics are rather Cappellan, but I can not refute the possible effectiveness in meeting your ultimate goal. With a healthy mix of Pride and Ego stroking of unit leaders who join the site and Clarion Calls of "for the house" (targeting quasi-Emotional love for house Davion) you have a good base, along with the human desire to belong and be a part a group of seemingly like-minded individuals, while still remaining "apart" from the generality (Existing in a higher social caste) used as a catalyst, you are well on your way to effective subliminal manipulation.

2nd and 3rd order of effects are equally interesting. Anyone who does not agree on principle with the split of the community or whom you do not want present is not a part of the conversations and is effectively "on the outside"

If your ruse is successful, people will have to play by your rules to be a part of the house, if it isnt, you really dont lose anything and you still have a chance to set up that chain of command you want so bad.

My concern is still the potential dividing of the community, and thus I do not agree with it.

I do not understand why someone would want to do that. I can understand "secret planning"...but a whole different set of forums only encourages people to stay away from the MWO forums for anything but dev related information. Not only that, I dont think we know enough about the game to warrant "secret planning" away from "other house spies". We dont even know how planetary control is going to work, how or if House units will be implemented..I mean, so much more to know before any sort of "planning" will realistically mean anything. But thats not the real point of the site anyway, as I already alluded to.

Anyway, im done fighting the MPBT crowd, they will do things their way or no way. See you guys in the game when it launches, at least then we might have a common enemy and be able to see eye to eye on at least a single principle.

Good luck with your planning site.

@Jack Gallows

When the time comes, and we coordinate an attack on an other house we might not want to splatter that all over this forum. That is why its there, for the future. And for regiments who want a place to talk. I would think most Houses by now got something up and running or in the planning.

@Azantia

I could tell you that your "expert" analysis of the situation is wrong, but you don't really care about that, or you probably spin it in some tale with lots of psycho babble to suit it your way. I mean it cant be any other way right, your the one with the contacts, and the know how and the lingo you must be right, whatever the reallity.

Im looking forward to your next "expert" analysis on how we mpbt people are going to take over the world :)

You could tell me alot of things. Doesnt mean much. I never said I was an expert at anything, just that I have been trained to analyze human behavior, with a focus on social interaction (person to person interaction). People are so complex that understanding a person's true motivations can take a very very long time of constant analysis. Assess, re-assess and assess some more. Alot of people dont truly understand their own motivations clearly because they dont think of their actions and/or are far too self absorbed.

I fully admit, I COULD be wrong. There is always the possibility that we, as humans are wrong, because we are far from perfect.
Again, good use of Emotional Fear Down, and an attempt to attack my own Pride/Ego. Next a good attempt to deflect and diffuse through the use of humor (Qin for president). This is a common human defense mechanism when they feel socially exposed or threatened or wish to change a subject.

Ultimately, if PGI gets it right (which from all indications they are on the right track, but still a long way to go), and if league or organized play is ever realized and done correctly it will be difficult to avoid each other. (Which I would prefer) Which is why I had previously agreed to disagree with your crowd and tried to leave it at that. But we had to have a late comer to the conversation re-hash old news, which has brought us to our current exchange. Me and Jack believe that you should say what you mean and mean what you say, and stand up for what you believe in. I think fundamentally we have very different views on just about everything. Since we are technically on the same side I think its best we acknowledge these differences and agree to disagree for the future.

Good Luck, we will see you on the battlefields.

Not really saying it wouldn't be useful for that kind of thing, but I think at the moment it's not as needed. Now, needed doesn't mean it's not fun, and I'm not trying to ruin that, more power to those who are enjoying it...just don't forget to talk to us who aren't on the site too :)

It is also a good place to discuss setting up MW4 games/teamspeak between regiments/etc without House Kurita players turning up and shouting Banzai in your ears.
