So the background is my clan can't drop as an 8-man as we never have someone to play against, and with the changes to matchmaker to appease PUGs we can't drop as 5, 6, 7 so when an 8 man fails to find match our only option is to try sync dropping (which usually doesn't work).

This gradually destroys my clans ability to have a social game.

If you have time, please reference these emails: (for reference we're in australia)

Hello [cobba],
After further investigation on the Match Making we have not found any problem with the match making.
Unfortunately your usual time frame when playing the game is usually early in the Morning or the afternoon for most players and we think there aren't many other 8-group man starting at the same time.

So my suggestion is:
Can we please change the matchmaker so that when there is no applicable 8-man to drop against the matchmaker then puts an 8man group against suitably rated ELO score players/groups? surely ELO should be capable of smoothing it out?

Or, you could not be a {Richard Cameron}, and go out in 4-man groups.

I think I remember Garth or Paul saying that it's coming later on when they feel comfortable with the matchmaker. Should be possible to go in any group number and get matched then, since the aim of the Elo rating is to match skill levels.
Will probably try to match 7+1 vs 7+1 groups as far as possible, possibly matching 6+2 vs 8 if needed.

Not enough info to say for sure yet though.

I'd sure love that.

Some 4-mans' EGO is definitely in need of some steamroll from time to time and what better way to show 'em how it is to PuG (that is, being outnumbered by 4 people who have comm set up).

matchmaking isn't ready for this, this is a bad idea, if the queue is empty it's empty for a reason, tryhards in a casual rompy stompy game being meta'd to the maximum isn't always enjoyable.
