I brought up the idea that I'd really like to stick a picture of my fiance' in my cockpit and asked general what they'd want to put in there. We already got some great suggestions and people said it needed to come over here.

So how about it? What do you want to be able to put in your cockpit?

This was just brought up in the other thread, but I'll post my idea here. Some of the cockpits on the larger mechs are rather large, so what about a player "housing" type feature? You could have pictures, war trophies etc.

I like the idea of taping a picture or two inside your mech. Maybe give everyone one free picture space and charge for additional pictures up to a certain cap.

Bobbleheads would be funny but I'd never get one due to the distraction it would cause me ;D

EDIT: It's not like a warrior would have a framed picture sitting on top of his console. It would fall off too easily. Taping pictures to the side of a console would be more like it.

Well looking at the trailer they put out in 09 (just a trailer with no real game attached at the time) the pilot had a hula dancer(bobble-head thinger). So I'd imagine they already have a bunch of personal flair stuff in the works, for me I would tape a bunch of toy Dinosaurs to the dashboard, maybe some army men fighting them too.

Holy **** I didn't even notice that until you mentioned it. You can see it in that Reboot trailer at about 25 seconds in.

Yeah, I figured it would be a taped on keepsake, probably keep it next to the ejection lever to remind me why I'm punching out.

I wonder how customizable these ornaments will get?

If they give us too few options (ie. all items come as is. No alteration or color choosing) I won't be buying any with real cash.

Then again, if we get too many options I can totally see some brony modding My Little Pony figurines into the game :)

clock showing your timezone and a mini calander to remind you what day it is and when to step away from the keyboard for an appointment you might have otherwise forgotten

A clock with real world time would definitely be a good idea....maybe real world time with Btech timeline? as i understand it, the game is dated august 1st 3049 and the release date is to be august first 2012? so why not just the 3049 date and time? maybe with a toggle for people too forgetful to remember what actual year it is? ;p

Would be great to look around the cockpit of my Dragon, and see pinups and a DCMS Gone Wild calendar in the free spaces, a samurai bobblehead on the dash, sitting right next to a steaming coffee cup sitting precariously close to the fire controls..Definitely with the addition of a few panels missing their covers here and there, with electrical tape separating wires that should not cross, a map book sitting above my radar, and a visible copy of The Art of War propped up in view to remind me to think, not rush. In addition, my ejection handle needs a piece of paper taped to it that says "Death before dishonor!"

I want this bobblehead if they could run a cross-promotion with TF2.

(Who doesn't want a Neurohelmet in TF2?)
