its worth it if all the variants do not suck. they already lost on the locust, 20 tons with 4 ballistics... only time will tell if the others are of any real value.

same thing happened with founders, sounded like a great deal, but with in a few months all the variants they chose where worthless. (partially due to ecm) at least with founders you got plenty of mc for future hero mechs.

Perhaps the extra funds will help with the balancing. I'm willing to take a shot.

At the very least it hints that PGI has long term plans for MW:O.

Also the locust art makes it a BAMF.

It's a good deal if you want a deal. If you have mixed feelings about the game, then it's not. I personally will be in the $60 or $80 as the Battle Master for me isn't important, but it's more premium time with the $80 version and other goodies. I am already $190 in (Founders + $130 in MC purchases).

Overlord and Talon are both great values. Talon because you get a 'mech - all be it the crappiest 'mech in all of MW:O stat wise - with some bays and a month's of time for like $5 more than you'd pay for premium.

Overlord.. well OP got that nailed.

I honestly thought this sale was for just 24 hours, not a month, so I have definitely calmed down a lot since the initial announcement.

Yeah, yeah it would. I was like "Really? You spring this on me now right after I just bought into Star Citizen with all my spare cash?" But a month, a month means I will likely swing Overlord.

I just hope PGI doesn't ignore the other threads and that the game is still breathing by the time the Thunderbolt is rolled out.

Some of us are riding this ship all the way to the bottom of the ocean. Like I said just now, I am actually concerned the game will be even fully active when January rolls around if PGI focuses just on Project Phoenix feedback and not on the other serious dissatisfaction threads.

People tend to lose all reason when unseen are brought up, and PGI did handle the value of this package exceptionally well this time out. But people should in no way forget the other issues over this announcement, unless everyone is going "Finally! A 55 tonner that I can Gauss + PPC in."

It will be man, have a pessimistic outlook but deep seeded faith.

Think with your head but play with your heart man.

This games come a long way, don't sell it short.

I'll try and swing 80 for overlord too, if not, just hope the special variant isn't op, if so, temporarily like other fotm...

Pretty easy choice for me. No deal. Fix game. Then make money.

Yeah, I can't but see all four 'Mechs larded up with medium lasers or PPCs, firing them all at once at somebody's center torso.

Really? At this point, they are asking for another 80$ for a package? Stop giving them money! As long as people keep paying for their crap, instead of content, they have zero incentive to produce the content.

This is the content. I think you want balance and fixes, which are worked on by different people who need to be paid somehow.

I'd be Ok with it if you could choose which mechs if you didn't want all four. I don't get on with lights or assaults. I want the 'Hawk and the T-bolt.

More mech's are not content. More maps, game modes, community warfare, chat/voice, this is content.

If I own 15 different mechs, I'm still playing the same basic game over and over again.

The employees who make mechs don't make game modes, voice chat, code things, or even plan features. They make mechs. They're 3D artists and texture artists and someone who rigs models.

They could announce 100 new mechs, but if they're still coming out at the same current pace of mech release, then it's not costing them any additional cost to just make an announcement(since the mech artists were going to be making new mechs anyway)
