I've had this problem for months now, as I've seen others have (those were archived so I'm starting a new thread), where one mech on the team will only show on the radar if I have him in LOS, just like as if he were an enemy. It happens at least 50% of matches I'd say. It happens in pugs, 4 mans and 8 mans so it seems to not discriminate based on that. Here is a short clip of video showing it happening recently.

Yeah, friendly mechs will disappear from radar if you or a mech you have LoS on do not have them in LoS.

My hope is that PGI will introduce radar, which can be turned on and off for increased detection range, and increased detectability, the same with radio. Having your radio on will transmit your location to friendlies, and transmit anything you see as targets to friendlies, but it will also make you more detectable.

That is my hope, anyway. PGI has talked about stuff like that in the past, and if they stick with the vision of the game that they gave us way back at the beginning, with information warfare being a huge part of the game, that would fall right in line with it.

But, for now, we detect friendlies like we detect enemies.

this has been around for almost a year now. PGI doesn't care.

I thought someone had said in a different thread that this occurs more often in those that drop in late. Has that been verified?
