As far as I know, there's new sounds for the PPC, AC20, AC10, AC2 and LBX. They may have tweaked the AC5 and UAC5 a bit, but they sound basically the same as before. Gauss is exactly the same, I think.

How do you like them?

Personally, I think they range from great (LBX) to terribad (AC2). In fact, I've been determined to see if I can do well with the AC2 lately, but I'm discouraged by the awful sound it makes when it fires. It sounds like Stomp.

I have not heard them yet. Do they still have the same reload sound on the AC/10? It is by far my most favorite in the game.

I can't vote on all of them, as I've only heard the PPC and AC/20 so far (I think).

The PPC sounds odd. Not bad, but just odd. I still think it needs to sound more electrical in nature like the "snap" of static discharge.

The AC/20 has a better booming echo now, but it sounds more like a high-caliber rifle being fired instead of a cannon report.

I'm moving this to Patch Feedback, as it's a poll about the new patch-specific changes.

I like the idea of the sounds but in reality the PPC and AC/2 sounds are too loud and very tinny and hollow sounding. I do get the sense of greater auditory immersion but it needs to be refined. As it is I cant play MWO with audio until the PPC and AC/2 are toned down and tuned up.

Any chance people could post recordings of each sound? From what I've read people have actually been hearing very different things, but in order to make this "scientific" we should get some clean recordings of each weapon's sound (since not everyone has all of the affected weapons).

I like them all but I would say they are not fully developed. Nonetheless I like the direction they are going. Since there are many arguing that they are too loud and others saying they are fine, I suggest a Weapons Sound Slider. There is no balanced middle ground to player volume preference. Let the players choose their own volume. PGI, the sounds are great and headed in the right direction. Don't stop. Change them all. .especially and weak laser sounds... - Thanks

The problem with the slider, at least in my situation, is that lowering the slider will negatively impact all the other sounds just to make a few weapons tolerable. The AC/2 and PPC are disproportionately loud and a slider will only 'fix' those at the loss of the remaining immersive sounds.

Well, that's assuming all weapon sounds are changed and balanced to a fix level that may be too soft for some and too loud for others and people would want to adjust this apart from a master volume slider.

OLD PPC sound was WAY better in my oppion. It sounded closer to the orginal mechwarrior sounds, a great mix of electricity, discharge and cannon action with out sounding like a cannon. Now it sounds like its just an AC, gone is the PPC sound scare facter :)

The ACs are meh, but AC2 is... too loud, and with teh speed makes it a Machinegun sound....

new sounds are to loud, to tinny and basically awful- the lbx10 is the best of the bunch.

I feel the issue is that they are clipping and causing distortion
