Test 1:
JM6-S
Loadout:
2 x AC 20
2 x Medium laser
XL 260
no extra heat sink
Map: Caustic Valley
Heat at 0 KPH : 6 %
Heat after 1 AC 20 alpha: 29% (pre-patch)
Heat after 1 AC 20 alpha: 51% (post-patch)
note: this is going to be a hot build if people don't chainfire. those 2 medium lasers and movement will help bring that % up.
Test 2:
CTF-3D
Loadout:
4 x regular PPC
STD 275
I think i had only 10 heat sinks for this one, didn't think to check =/
Map: Canyon Networks
Heat at 0 KPH: 0%
Heat after 2xPPC alpha: 24 % (pre and post patch)
Heat after 3xPPC alpha: 47% (pre) vs 67% (post)
Heat after 4xPPC alpha: 63% (pre) vs 100+% (post)
yes, i overheated
Test 3:
CTF-3D
Loadout:
4 x Large laser
STD 275
againt... 10 DHS maybe
Map: Canyon Networks
Heat after 2x LL alpha: 24% (pre and post patch)
Heat after 3 x LL alpha: 38% (pre) vs 45% (post)
Heat after 4 x LL alpha: 52% (pre) vs 72 (post)
Definetly people will chainfire more often now, specially the 4 PPC guy

Note¹: Heat % increases when mech is moving.
IMPORTANT NOTE²: about final heat %; Engine ratings below 250 will have a lower heat efficiency if compared to higher ratings, even if they have the same number of heat sinks. So, builds running ratings below 250 will have higher %. Also, increasing the number of heat sinks will also lower the final % for equal ratings
what do you guys think about those builds and the new heat scale?
