Hi ALex
In the News of CBC News in Canadian Television you could see how your work on the design of the Wolverine. Sorry Alex, but what youre creating is NOT a Wolverine... Its my favorite Mech since over 20 years and it would be nice if you could make it closer to the Original.
The cannon on the head is essential for the Wolverine, the bulky design also. For that it would be enough to lower the arm/shoulder of your design, make the arms not so long and put the gun on his head. Its of course only my personal opinion but perhaps some other Wolverine Fans think the same. Ah, and the legs are a little bit too thin and too long...
Sorry, but making it closer to the original is lawsuit, copyright violation and plagarism. They don't own that original Wolverine design, some Japanese company owns it (Nippon Sunrise, aka just Sunrise now). Sunrise is a company that remains very active today, and much of their work comes from mecha anime (most recently Majestic Prince and Valverave, not to mention all the Gundam series).
Let me point out to you that PGI is
legally obligated to make it different, if not unrecognizable from the original, that no jurist can ever mistake B as a copy of A. PGI had the spoken permission from the Dougram producers and artists to go ahead and make their mechs, so long they are not copying from the originals.
Concept art or not,
whether you like it or not the final product will be
different from the original, I guarantee you.
