Hi ALex
In the News of CBC News in Canadian Television you could see how your work on the design of the Wolverine. Sorry Alex, but what youre creating is NOT a Wolverine... Its my favorite Mech since over 20 years and it would be nice if you could make it closer to the Original.

The cannon on the head is essential for the Wolverine, the bulky design also. For that it would be enough to lower the arm/shoulder of your design, make the arms not so long and put the gun on his head. Its of course only my personal opinion but perhaps some other Wolverine Fans think the same. Ah, and the legs are a little bit too thin and too long...

Let him finish his work. Basing any critiques on a half finish, blurry drawing is silly, and frankly comes across a bit too much like an entitled gamer who wants too much and doesn't really deserve it.

Also, as far as I can see there isn't even a head drawn on that image as well.

But honestly, you don't really have any control over what the man draws anyways.

I will take the PGI work in progress over that bubble mech you posted. That thing is an abomination.

I happen to like his art compared to the first pic you posted.
Also if the head laser is lower down then it might be hidden in the granularity of the pic.

He uses this style for the concepts of a concept, chances are it won't look almost nothing like the image. Altough when looking at the arm, I think I preffered when he drew the mechs only to makke them look canon and not also to fit the hardpoints (just look at the PPC arm).

um, the OG art is unseen.. so in lieu of design changes, the only other option is not getting the mech entirely.

The right arm/hand does look interesting and the mech looks tall and lean. Unfortunately going from concept to in game makes mechs very wide.

if you are referring to the extra space under the PPC... the original TRO art has the same thing... or at least similar

Yeah, but that was leftover ammo bin for the "pistol" they turned into a PPC in BTech.

Your sense of entitlement is truly endearing.

As others have noted, your first example....is horrible. Seriously...why would you even post that in an attempt to convince someone to get "closer to the original." Abomination, honestly.

Agree with the rest of the gang here....let us see what comes out first before getting on Alex (who's done some pretty brilliant artwork all things considered, as most would seem to agree) about what YOU would prefer to see in concept art....it's pretty early in the development apparently, why take that as his finished product?

firstly you are seeing ON E concept sketch.

Usually a dozen or more are created, then the finished is kitbashed from them.

secondly, relax. Chill. Lets see the finished product. Alex has stayed mostly true so far.

And we come to the master flaw in your post - WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU WANT A BULKYmech with hitboxes the size of a stalkers torso?? :)

Secondly, its only CONCEPT art. Besides, were in the the 2010's not the 80's anymore!! :)

Why? Because i want a Wolverine :) Style is everything... In MWO most of the Mechs have only the Name in common with the Originals. Thats sad...

PS: Not all of ous are competitive player...

only the name? Most are very close to the base design, but vastly improved.

Sorry, but making it closer to the original is lawsuit, copyright violation and plagarism. They don't own that original Wolverine design, some Japanese company owns it (Nippon Sunrise, aka just Sunrise now). Sunrise is a company that remains very active today, and much of their work comes from mecha anime (most recently Majestic Prince and Valverave, not to mention all the Gundam series).

Let me point out to you that PGI is legally obligated to make it different, if not unrecognizable from the original, that no jurist can ever mistake B as a copy of A. PGI had the spoken permission from the Dougram producers and artists to go ahead and make their mechs, so long they are not copying from the originals.

Concept art or not, whether you like it or not the final product will be different from the original, I guarantee you.

I don't mind the way it looks, and frankly the cannon would be a **** to program in (or at least, they're too lazy to :)). See: The Locust's front/CT mlas turret.
